Watch Earth From The Space - Real Time Streaming Video

Friday, April 18th 2014.. NASA launches new project called High Definition Earth Viewing Experiment (HDEV). That gives everyone a chance to watch Earth from Space in Real Time. With four Continuously Switched HD Cameras, we all have an opportunity to see our beautyful world - Planet Earth.. For the first time ever - Live on Screen.. Cameras are located on ISS (International Space Station) board and are streaming high quality video 24/7.

Where To Watch Earth Live? - Ustream ISS HDEV Payload Channel

There's an awesome website, that broadcasts a lot of web cameras located all over the world. It also hosts the HDEV. You can watch it here : ISS HDEV Payload

Most Asked Question about HDEV:

Q: Why my screen is black or grey and I don't see anything?

A: If the screen is black or grey, don't worry.. You will start seeing some video after a short time.

Grey - Some maintenance, signal loss or the camera switches

Black - The ISS is actually on the dark side of the Earth. Check back after 45-55 minutes and you should see one of the four camera streamings.

I remember myself, when I stumbled up to this website.. It took a lot of patience for me, because at the starting period of this project there were a lot of maintenances from ESA and NASA.. It took 3 days for me to get to the video, because every time I tried to watch the live streaming, I stucked at grey or black screen and did not have time to wait for the next "daylight" period..

There is also a Live Chat, where you can communicate to the ISS Watchers..

Let's give me a promise.. Be patient and wait for all cameras.. The Front camera is my favorite one, so check back time to time, if you want to explore more.. :)

Right right beneath the streaming video you will see The ISS Tracker. You can calculate the exact time, when the ISS will be on the light zone of Earth. Right now I'm unlucky, I'm on the dark zone.. :)
