Baro't saya (blouse and long skirt) is the national symbol of Philippines for dress category. It is usually worn by ladies during beauty pageant and special gatherings.

The upper dress called "baro" are always white and see through like chiffon. The long skirt called "saya" are any kind of thick cloth with plain or printed, checkered or floral designs. Its a wrap around skirt and very easy to wear and remove.

The National Flag of the Philippines have blue, red and yellow color. The three stars represent the 3 major regions of Philippines which are Luzon, Visayaz and Mindanao. The national capital of the Philippines is Manila which is located in Luzon.

The 8 rays of the sun symbolizes the 8 provinces who fought for the freedom of the country from Spain after 300 years of possession.

The blue color of the flag should always be on top. Blue color symbolizes peace. If the flag was inverted and the red color is on top, that means, there is a war.
