See & Spell

Melissa & Doug's See & Spell

If you are looking for a fun way to get your preschooler to learn the lowercase alphabet, or start to sight read simple words the you will want to check out Melissa & Doug's See & Spell. My daughter went on and on telling me all the ways you can use the letters and boards. She told me you can trace the letters with your finger, or you can put the letters in the words like a puzzle, or you can even use the letters to make other words.

Teacher Recommended.

When I picked up my daughter from preschool yesterday, her teacher had this wonderful product out to show the parents. In my daughter's class the kids all know the uppercase alphabet, but are not as good recalling the lowercase letters. This toy is a fun way to reinforce the use of the lowercase letters and at the same time teach some simple words. The wooden puzzle boards are double sided so you get twice as much learning for your space. I went home and ordered one for our own use at home. She will get use from it as well as little brother when he is older. We will add some action shots once we receive ours in the mail.
