Social Animal

Updated on May 2, 2015

When this earth was born...

When this earth was created. God sent Adam and Eve. He made sure there are 2 of every kind of animal on this planet when he created it. Gradually, the number doubled. Now, we have millions of animals living on this planet. All breathing oxygen and drinking water. We are all sharing this planet and contributing on it, in our own special way.

Dunno much about the other animals but, this special animal that God created is a special kind. He is intelligent, smart and witty. This animal can do wonders if he has made up his mind to achieve something.

Man is a Social Animal

Man is a social animal. We like to seek company of another man. We feel safe when there are men around. That can be seen in an excellent example when we are driving home late at night and there are’nt any cars on the road. We feel insecure. We feel scared. Why? Is the presence of man around us so important? When we feel sad or are down with some plight, we would like to talk it out with people around us. When we are happy, we want to celebrate it with people. So, when a man is surrounded by happiness or sadness, we need company around us. This company helps to bring us out of the situation we are in. No wonder the Almighty sent 2 humans on this earth to start off with. We are born to be surrounded by people.

Impact of Socializing

Socializing increases longevity in humans since by meeting people we tend to open up when we are distressed or happy and by downloading our fears and happiness, our health stays unaffected since, taking the burden off makes one feel lighter and that helps us to live longer. It is all a chain reaction!

There is an article published to support the above data. Link below.

Ponder upon...

Then, WHY do we have jealousy, hatred against them? Why can’t man live happily with men around him? We should learn to be happy for man if we want the company of man around us. Let’s try to treasure the thing we really want by being civil to them.

A MAN is a MAN’s friend in the hour of happiness or plight. We are Social Animals so; let us try to love thy man!

      well said indeed, Rambansaljee.

humans have manipulated every path just to succeed.

when will WE learn that the ultimate path to success is IF we all trod on the same path!

Thank you for your beautiful insight...appreciated it!

Yes, human civilization is built up on the socialization concept with cooperation, but we have invented cunningly competition to replace cooperation.

I agree Perspycacious. Not all times are meant to be enjoyable or else how will we get the essence of life :)

We have to accept the brunt and the grudges besides the frolic and fun.

Thank you for such a valuable comment :) appreciate it!

      Hi Frank,

Yes, I agree. Just as animals move in packs for security

We humans cannot survive without each other thus, should stop ignoring and back-biting etc etc (the list is long)

oh btw, just as humans need each other. We hubbers need each other's appreciation/motivation to continue writing :)

Thanks for stopping by :) Appreciate it!

      Hi Sunnie,

Retirement is the time where you work on the passion of your life and you are lucky that you are in good health and spirits. So, go and venture out besides your writing. 'Cause you never know what "else" lies in store for you :)

Wishing you good luck in your future endeavors!

Time alone need not be lonely, just as time with others need not be a blast. Moderation in all things means cherishing each moment for what it brings and gives.

Man is of course a social animal and each Crusoe must find his Man Friday. Society is must for the evolution as loneliness kills the growth. A good hub from you dear Ruchira as always. Happy to find this.

      Take care and keep hubbing,

Very true..since I have retired I do not know what I would do without you and my other friends on hubs. Everyone I know is working. Sometimes it can get lonely. I know I need to get out more..volunteer and have some outside interest besides writing...I am just getting my feet wet so it will come. Thank you for a great reminder.
