If you are asked the question – ‘how wealthy are you’, what would you answer be. Well, our ideology or precepts about life will determine how we approach the question and therefore, the answer we give. What is wealth? How can I be wealthy and why do I need to be wealthy are some of the questions in this discussion aimed to provoke us to think.

First of all I have to point out that we have been given diverse gifts, talents, resources and opportunities to develop new skills by the Almighty God – the giver of all good and perfect gifts.

Sometime and indeed as always, these abilities which have been freely given to us may lie dormant or under utilised. In this article I’ll explore different ways we can adopt to fan these gifts or abilities into flame or develop our different mental acuities to enable us profit from them.

Trust

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not in your own understanding and in all your ways acknowledge Him.”

Take responsibility

Take responsibility and embrace an empowering mind set about money. Know money or else you won’t develop a relationship in terms of dealing with money

Be a goal setter/getter

Set goals and make them as big as your dreams

Plan

Create a realistic plan and take ACTION. Nothing would ever happen until a positive and fruitful action is taken towards accomplishing your plan.

Become a master of opportunity

Learn to turn obstacles to opportunities. Realise that underneath the obstacles are new horizons (in terms of success) waiting to unfold. Expect them and develop strategies and tactics to overcome!

Discipline

Be wiling to DO whatever it takes and have persistence focus. In the principles of achievement being focused is everything and this requires discipline.

Improve your financial education

Develop your knowledge on financial skills and vocabulary. Increase knowledge of business finance and read financial statements. You need to be more aware in financial matters.

Surround yourself with masterminds

Find people, usually business mentors and surround yourself and learn form diverse means from people who are Great achievers. Remember that, “iron sharpens iron and a man is sharpened by the countenance of his friends.”

Again, cultivate the habit of reading and endeavour to take action on what you’ve learnt. Turn your weakness to strength.

Develop the art of creative imagination

Learn the art of creative imagination and the ability to take develop your dream into a reality through taking MASSIVE action to make your dream a reality.

These steps if mastered and put into practice would enable you be able to achieve more. You need to be courageous and committed towards making it realizable.
