"This is KING KENDRICK LAMAR"
It is no secret that Kendrick Lamar has become revolutionary in the world of Hip-Hop and rightful so, because the artist is immense in his pure raw talent for rap. Anyone that is familiar with Kendrick Lamar, knows that he lyrically challenges his self, and conveys a powerful message through his songs. Kendrick who gave himself the title of "King Kendrick Lamar" has reached incredible heights within a matter of years.
" Now everybody serenade the new fate of Kendrick Lamar, this is King Kendrick Lamar, King Kendrick and I meant it, my point intended is raw, fix your lenses, forensics woulda told you Kendrick had killed it, pretend it's a massacre and the masses upon us". (One of his verses from his renown song " Compton featuring Dr. Dre).
The young Kendrick Lamar Duckworth was born in Chicago, Illinois and raised in Compton, California with his parents. At a young age he started writing poems and then writing lyrics; he became influenced by all types of music that surrounded him, from DMX, Tupac to Al Green. Growing up and being exposed to rap, and Hip-Hop was a normal occurrence, to so many it is way of life, a culture. Dropping his last name Duckworth, he rapped under the name of K.dot and later returned to using Kendrick Lamar. At 16, Kendrick put out his first full mixtape called "Youngest Head Nigga in Charge". Even back then Kendrick had a sound that was unlike anyone else. He got recognition right away from his mixtape, and received a record deal with Top Dawg Entertainment. He went on to drop two more mixtape's " Training Day" and "C4 " in 2008. He collaborately worked with his self - formed group "Black Hippy", who consist of Ab Soul, Jay Rock and Schoolboy Q from his label.
In 2010, Kendrick Released his fourth mixtape "(O)verly (D)edicated", totaling 16 songs, which featured the Songs "Cut you off", "The Heart Pt. 2" and "R.O.T.C (interlude)". That same year at the age of 23, Kendrick dropped his Album, "Section 80". This was one of his most profound albums because within this album he created a platform that exposed subjects that no one even considered. He rapped about the street, his experiences, and about how we as a people everyday fight the system in his highly proclaimed song " HiiiPower". From "A.D.H.D" to "Chapter Ten"; there was not one song on this album that did not make you think. Dr.Dre took the talented artist and Signed him to Dre's Aftermath Entertainment and Interscope Records. The artist has countless hit singles and albums. Kendrick stated that the reason he wanted to be apart of Dre's label was because he had so many great talents under him such as "Eminem"; Dr. Dre was able to see his vision and where he wanted to go with his music.

In 2012, Kendrick released "Good KiD, m.A.A.d City", which was by far one of his most acclaimable album's to date. I do not think that there was a person in the world that did not gravitate to the brilliance and greatness of this Album, with his lead Single "Swimming Pools (Drank)", and "Poetic Justice" he quickly became immeasurable to anybody in today's Hip-Hop. He started collaborately working with Pusha T, J.Cole, Miguel, Drake, and Big Sean's in his latest song called "Control". The Song "Control" caused a complete uproar. People talked about Kendrick's verse for weeks. On the verse Kendrick spoke his mind, and let other rappers know exactly who was the best and he let know what time it was! Many respected his bold approach to waken up the whole rap Industry. He is now on tour with Eminem and recently accompanied Kanye on his tour for "Yeezus". In 2013,The MC won five awards, including Album of the Year and Rapper of the Year. Kendrick by all means has accomplished a great amount but I guarantee that the young artist is far from done.
