9 Underrated Family Friendly TV Shows You Absolutely Have To See
Intro
Growing up, finding an appropriately rated TV series for the whole family was a struggle. Which, may seem not very important, until you have little children who want to watch a nighttime movie and all you can think of is Saving Private Ryan. A note: not the best choice for young children. And maybe wait till they're at least into middle school before you push that one on them. This is an article for the mothers and fathers out there who are struggling to find a good TV show.

#1 Alias
Although this show is 20 years old, it stills maintains style. With sweet characters like Dixon, Weiss, and Marshall, who never fail to make you laugh, and kick butt characters like Sydney, Jack, and Vaughn, this show is a thriller. The hilarious scenes, dramatic ones, and heartbreaking, this show will make you gasp, cry, and laugh with your family all night long.

#2 Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist
Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist is a music based show, where the main character can hear what is going on in the minds of the people around her through song. Zoey has a father with PSP, a best friend named Max who's madly in love with her, a co-worker/friend named Simon, who is dealing with the loss of his father, and a loud, very funny transgender singer named Mo as a next door neighbor. What could be better than this?!

#3 Whiskey Cavalier
Although Whiskey Cavalier was only one season, it was one of the most interesting and amusing one season shows. This show, is crazy, complicated, wildly amusing, and even has a touch of romance. All the characters are hilarious in their own way, and although there is betrayal and deception, there are also life lessons about believing in yourself, and persistence.

This series is about painting with human bodies as the canvases. There is a $10,000 prize for the winning artist, and the stakes are high. It is an extremely intriguing series, though there is some nudity.

This show was artistic, creative, interesting, and magical. A show where dancers and singers compete for a $1 million prize. The judges include Jennifer Lopez, Derek Hough, and Ne-Yo.

Gidget is an oldy but a goody. In need of a feel good TV series? Well here you go! Gidget is an adorable teenage girl, with big dreams and ideas. Most parents would tell Gidget Laurence to stop being so silly and foolish, but that's not her father!

This 1965 film is a hilarious classic. The chemistry between all of the characters is great, and the dialogue is all very comedic. After all, who doesn't love Lisa Douglas and her handsome husband?

This is a silly little show about Kate, Uncle Joe, the three sisters, and life at the inn. The characters are funny and sweet, and the villains are easily vanquished with a good meal, and a piece of pie. Watch this show, and turn back time to the good old days.

And of course, last but never the least, Lost. This was an extremely intense and climactic TV series. It was funny, dramatic, at times scary, and all around awesome. To all the film fans out there, this is one to watch.
