25 of the Sexiest Songs
There was no vote cast, but I'm also not one of those people that claim this is a list of nondiscriminatory songs and I only like one kind of music. Ever since I was little girl I've always listened to all kinds of music and when I went through my mental rolodex of songs (not to mention my YouTube and old Playlist.com music lists) I scrolled through a little of every single genre. There was plenty to choose from including R&B, rock, rap, old school soul, jazz, country, pop, etc. It just so happens that the majority of these songs ended up being R&B. It wasn't done on purpose, that's just how it ended up being. While I have not heard every single song in the world (I believe that would be impossible), I've heard plenty, and thus came up with the Miller/Lightwood 25 Sexiest Songs…EVER list. You probably won't agree with everything, but that's okay; no one agrees with everything they read. This list is also not up for debate and there won't be any add-ons or alterations because a random person thinks there should be. This is the official list.
Here are the runners-up that didn't quite make the cut: "Red Light Special" by TLC, "Meeting in My Bedroom" by Silk, "Is this Real?" by lisahall (I used to put this song on repeat and let it lull me to sleep a long time ago), "Brown Sugar" by D'Angelo, "Rock the Boat" by Aaliyah, "More and More" by R. Kelly, "Lookin' for Mr. Do Right" by Jade, "Jungle Fever" by The Chakachas, "Turn Me On" by Kevin Lyttle feat. Spragga Benz, and "I'd Rather Be With You" by Bootsy Collins.
25) "T-Shirt and Panties" by Adina Howard
24) "Do You Like This" by Rome
The lyrics aren't exactly cheerful, but between Rome's velvety voice and this beat, I don't understand how giving someone a deep tissue oil massage doesn't come to mind when this is playing (or receiving one).
23) "Still Po Pimpin'" by Do or Die
Even if you don't think rap can be sexy in any way, you don't have to bother with the lyrics of this song, just let the beat ride and Twista's flow take you to wherever that sexy place lies in your head.
22) "Freekin' You" by Jodeci
21) "Splakavelli" by Preesha (Superman)
Try to ignore the stupidity of the title of the song and everything else that doesn't look readable. Just…listen. Cuz damn…
20) "Nasty Naughty Boy" by Christina Aguilera
Perfect for lap dances. Yes, I'm encouraging you to ;-).
19) "When We Make Love" by Avant
18) "Only When You're Lonely" by Ginuwine
I feel the same way about this song that I do #24 on this list…
17) "Baby" by Ashanti
If you listen to this song and don't think it's sexy, I dare you to watch the video for it and still think it isn't. They don't make songs or videos like this anymore.
16) "Motivation" by Kelly Rowland
15) "Sex Me" by R. Kelly
14) "Birthday Sex" by Jeremiah
13) "Come Here" by J. Holiday
12) "How Does It Feel" by D'Angelo
11) "Call Me" by Tweet
10) "Tell Me Do You Wanna" by Ginuwine
I have one word to describe this song's motivation: Striptease.
9) "Thank You" by J. Holiday
8) "Your Love is Incredible" by Sisqo
This was actually one of his less popular songs, and I still don't understand that. This song is friggin' incredible.
7) "U Already Know" by 112
6) TIE! "I Can Go Deep" by Silk and "Lose Control" also by Silk
The first song almost got cut from the official list, but then I thought, "Nah, I can't. That wouldn't be ethical." Although I think "Lose Control" is ultimately sexier, they tied in my head and I couldn't break it. I just couldn't. So sue me (…or don't. Seriously, I'd rather you not).
5) "Anytime Anyplace" by Janet Jackson
4) "Ai Du" by Vieux Farka Toure
I've heard people refer to the original version of this song as "the song in the bathtub scene in Unfaithful". I've looked everywhere and I've never been able to find the original version, only the concert one. It's good no matter which way you cut it, but it would be nice to find the version that was in the film. Oh well, the guitar riff in this version is just so good, though, it makes you want to get naked. I'm serious.
P.S....Then I found it ;-)
3) "Come See Me" by 112
2) "Knockin' Da Boots" by H-Town
This was one of the biggest songs in the early nineties. There were lots of children born between 1992 and 1994 in my town. I blame these guys, may they rest in peace.
1) "Freak Me" by Silk
I was too young to have been listening to this at the time, but this was my favorite song of 1992 and when it was number one on the countdown that year I jumped for joy. I did mention I was too young right? I was a few days shy of my ninth (or tenth) birthday when it was announced. That should tell you something. And yes, it's as sexy now as it was back then. Shame on me (or not).
