We feature the 3 movies with the title 'The Lone Ranger' but also consider other aspects of the story

There have been two 'The Lone Ranger' movies in the past (1956, 2003) and one more planned for 2013 from Disney with Johnny Depp at Tonto. Join us here for a further look at the The Lone Ranger in several incarnations.

The Lone Ranger and his horse, Silver, were always accompanied by his Indian friend, Tonto, of course. In the 1956 movie and in the television series, Tonto was portrayed by Jay Silverheels.
