5 Thrillers to Binge Watch Right Now
1. Daredevil
This Marvel show with 3 seasons on Netflix focuses on Matt Murdoch, an attorney and a vigilante known as the Daredevil in New York/ Hell's Kitchen. Season 1 has Matt along with Nelson and Karen helping the city get rid of the wealthy and corrupt Wilson Fisk or the Kingpin. Season 2 sets a predecessor to The Punisher. Season 3 which released on brings back Kingpin. It also introduces Bullseye/ Dex Poindexter the psychopathic assassin. The episodes are exciting and gets better every season with Season 3 being the best of the series. Daredevil stars Charlie Cox, Debora Ann, Elden Henson, Vincent D'onofrio among others.
2. The Punisher
The Punisher, yet another show from Marvel, follows Frank Castle sets out to revenge the killing of his family which leads him to a bigger conspiracy plotted in New York. The brutality and ruthlessness throughout the show is worth the watch. Season 2 of Daredevil introduces Punisher and hence must be watched before Punisher Season 1. Season 2 is in works and is expected to release in 2019. Starring: Johny Bernthal, Ben Barnes, Amber Rose, Ebon Moss among others.
3. Lucifer
Lucifer is exactly what you can make of its title. The devil himself abandons hell and joins humans on earth and he pursues what he likes best-women, wine and song. Everything is cool until a murder takes place in his nightclub, LUX. The rest of the seasons include Lucifer Morningstar, Chloe Decker and David Espinoza working together solving murders while Lucifer deals with his fellow Demons from Hell, his brother Amanediel and his therapist Linda Martin. One major reason to watch Lucifer is Tom Ellis and all the fan support that literally brought the show back to life. Season 3 ended with a major cliffhanger, so I'd suggest this to be the last show to watch among the list until Season 4 releases. It stars Tom Ellis, Lauren German, Rachel Harris, Lesley Ann among others.
4. Sherlock
Sherlock Holmes, John Watson, 221B Baker Street. Need I say more. Based on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's novel, the series with 3 episodes each in 4 seasons follows the adventures of consulting detective along with his military veteran roommate John Watson. The recurring antagonist has been Jim Moriarty played by Andrew Scott. The show stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Martin Freeman, Louise Brealy, Rupert Graves among others.
5. Bodyguard
Bodyguard is a political drama and if you're into shows that are slow yet keep you at the edge of the seat, this is for you. Bodyguard follows Special Protection Officer Sergeant David Budd who is assigned to protect the Home Secretary who has her own secrets. His past, his beliefs, his personal life and his career are threatened. By the end of this six episode series you will be left connecting the dots and finally feeling relieved that this is how it ended. The show stars Richard Madden, Keeley Hawes, Gina McKee, Paul Ready, Ash Tandon among others.
