Thanos the Mad Titan is one of the most powerful being in the Marvel Universe, he has many times slaughtered millions and destroyed planets just to impress his friend "Death" itself, only to loose her to dead pool. it is not easy to go toe to toe with him as he was recently seen being able to beat the unstoppable force, MCU Hulk. But there are some heroes in the Marvel Universe who were actually successful in not just beating him but they were able to successfully kill the Mad Titan and cleanse the world from his terror, but as we all know, no death is for forever in comics.
