Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 2 Episode 10: What They Become -Review
I barely have words. This one is epic in every way possible. It is a wonderful culmination of all the build up this season, and yet still leaves us on a major cliffhanger of anticipation, hating the concept of the mid-season brake.I laughed, I cried a little. I actually felt sympathy for the Doctor, and my heart ached for Skye, as she finds out what happened to her mom, and also finally has verification that she's more than human. Her whole world changes several times in the span of an hour. And at the end we are all left wondering "what is she now"? And a bit out of breath. We get confirmation here that Skye is indeed a character from the comics, and so is her dad. But that doesn't tell us what this version of them will be. All the MCU versions of less known characters have been much different than the comic version. I so can't wait to see how they handle her on the show. It will be epic, regardless. It seems like she is being done much like Willow from Buffy, the sweet, naïve computer nerd who ends up becoming the most powerful regular cast member on the show. Not saying that's a bad path to follow, just making an observation. I may expire of anticipation before new episodes. Seems eons away.
Overall: 10
