Choosing Wedding Music
Are you looking for just the right music for your wedding? Choosing the music for each phase of your wedding can be a real challenge. When you first begin your search for your wedding playlist, it seems like it will be a very easy quest. It quickly becomes obvious that it is not as easy as you thought it would be. When you realize you actually have to pick ONE song out of hundreds, for each part of your wedding, it isn't as easy as you thought it would be.
It can be very time consuming to find just the right song for the ceremony, recessional, first dance and father, daughter dance. You also have to make sure that you and your partner are both agreeable on the music that is chosen. This is a really big day and you should both be happy with how it is planned.
Wedding Ceremony Music
Your wedding ceremony is something you will remember forever. You have probably envisioned the walk down the aisle all of your life and you will want it to be perfect. The music that is playing as you make that walk, should be something that feels special to both of you. You are about to pledge yourself to the person that you plan to spend the rest of your life with, so make it something special and memorable.
Remember you will have to walk to this music, so make sure it is something you are comfortable walking to. If it is too fast, it will appear awkward. If it's too slow you may never get there. Make it something that you can comfortably walk to the beat of. Be sure you choose something that speaks to both of you and the way you feel about each other.
I have compiled some really great contemporary songs, that would be appropriate for your walk down the aisle. There are links under each song, so you can hear them. Click the links and enjoy.

WEDDING PARTY RECESSIONAL
Contemporary Wedding Recessional Music
The music for the recessional portion of your wedding, is probably the most difficult to choose. There are many appropriate songs, it just depends on weather you want the recessional to be slow and melodic, or fast and festive. It also depends on weather your wedding party is comfortable dancing back down the aisle, instead of just exiting slowly.
It seems the majority of couple's today are choosing the more upbeat, fun music for their recessional. It helps transition from the serious mood of the wedding ceremony, into the celebratory portion that is about to begin.
Traditional recessional music in the past were songs such as, Beethoven's "Ode to Joy" or Mouret's Rondeau. Today's couple's are opting for more contemporary music.
There are many great songs but finding just the right one can take time. I have gathered some contemporary songs that would be awesome for your recessional.
Hopefully you find one that you like. I have listed each song with a link, so just click the links and enjoy.

FIRST DANCE
First Dance Contemporary Wedding Music
The first dance as man and wife has to be the most exciting part of your wedding. It's hard to believe that you are really married, it seems so surreal.
The song you choose for this portion of your wedding should be something that both of you can relate to. Something that speaks to your relationship with each other. You will want to discuss this and make sure that both of you are happy with the final choice.
If you have a song that you consider "Your Song", that would be the obvious choice. But if you are still looking for something special, I have compiled some very nice Love songs here. There are links under each you can click on them and listen. Enjoy!

WEDDING CAKE CUTTING SONGS
Songs For Father Daughter Dance
The Father, Daughter dance is a very emotional part of your reception. You will likely find yourself shedding more than a few tears. This is the point that your father will officially give you away to your new husband. It really is very beautiful and emotional.
Be sure to choose a song carefully. You may wish to include your father in the decision on which song should be played. You might be surprised, he may have a suggestion you have not considered.
The music for the Father, Daughter dance can be a little harder to choose than the music for the rest of the wedding. There are not as many songs dedicated to this aspect of your wedding.
Because there are a limited number of songs appropriate for this dance, I have included a wide range of genre's.
I have chosen some lovely songs, that have been used by many for the Father, daughter wedding dance. Some newer songs and some not so new, but classic and beautiful
