Updated on March 19, 2013

Tite Kubo gets the credit as the author of the manga on which is based the Bleach anime episodes. These anime episodes were telecast since October 2004. TV Tokyo came forward to air the episodes that were directed by Noriyuki Abe. Bleach anime episodes center around Ichigo Kurosaki, a teenager who can behold ghosts. He turns into a ‘Soul Reaper’.

An attempt was made to adapt the Bleach anime episodes to English. As a result Viz Media was pressed into service to enter into contract with Studiopolis to make the English adaptation of the anime episodes. It was YTV in Canada that did telecast the English adaptation of the anime episodes for the first time on September 8, 2006. Bleach was aired by Cartoon Network too. In fact the Adult Swim block of the Cartoon Network could air 52 anime episodes of the Bleach.

It is simply praiseworthy that Studiopolis took the responsibility to dub the anime episodes of the Bleach series. A special mention has to be made about the music scored for the Bleach anime episodes. It is astonishing to note that as many as thirty six pieces of theme music were employed for the anime episodes. Studio Pierrot released a number of CDs that house the theme music and other related tracks. Twelve opening themes and twenty four closing themes constitute the total gamut of theme music.

Bleach anime episodes have enjoyed a lot of popularity not only in Japan but in other countries too. DVD compilations started to pour in as a result of the overwhelming popularity of the anime episodes of Bleach. Over 50 DVD compilations have already been released in Japan alone. In addition to these DVD compilations, 5 Season Boxsets have also been released that house 1 to 5 seasons of the anime.
