Ahsoka means "Pure and Hopeful" in Australia. Did you know that her name is also of Indian origin? It came from or was inspired by the historical, "Ahsoka Emperor of the Mauryan Empire."

2. Ahsoka as a Padawan

Ahsoka became a Padawan when she was 14 years of age. When she became a Padawan, she trained under Master Jedi, Anakin Skywalker. She had a rocky start with her master, but at the end they had a charming, close, and dependable relationship.

3. Ahsoka's Species

Ahsoka is a Togruta. Her species is very close to a Twi'lek even though they have differences, there are some similarities. Like the Twi'lek the Togruta were sold into slavery and oppressed. The Togruta are diplomatic and strong. Ahsoka comes from the planet Shili.

4. Ahsoka is not a Jedi Knight

Because of multiple reasons, Ahsoka could never finish her training. She was falsely accused of bombing the Jedi Temple. When she was put on trial they found her guilty. After investigating they found it was a different Jedi Padawan who bombed it, they apologized to Ahsoka and gave her back her rights as a Padawan. She gave up on the Jedi and left the Order.

5. Ahsoka fought along side Chewbacca during the Clone Wars

Ahsoka met Chewbacca before Han Solo did! When Ahsoka was kidnapped by Trandoshan hunters she met Chewbacca, a Wookie along with other lost Padawans who were kidnapped. She met him during the Second Battle of Felucia. This episode was called, "Wookie Hunt" in Star Wars: The Clone Wars in it's third installment of the series.
