Britney Spears Conservatorship Unfair

I'm not actually a fan of Britney Spears or for that matter of pop music at all but when you see so many views spewing from so many media outlets you begin to develop your own opinion about such things. This is an opinion piece on what I think about the conservatorship, Spear losing her children, her reaction, etc.

Apparently back in 2008 after losing custody of her children to Kevin Federline. Now how a judge would award custody to a man who had done nothing more than be a wannabe rapper throughout his marriage to Spears I'll never know. The man obviously only takes care of the children now on the massive child support he takes from Spears and doesn't even bother to work.

When Federline's representatives tried to take Spears children she refused to give them up at her home until the police came and forcibly removed them, police said she was on some form of substance arrested her and she was placed in a mental institution. What? With all due respect to the authorities and media is it any wonder someone would have an emotional breakdown after you just took her children away? Also after drug testing no substance was found to have been used. Why would you place a young woman upset that police took her kids in a mental institution. If someone came and took my children and I didn't think I'd see them again I would have an emotional breakdown too and so would anyone with love for their children.

Now after she was eventually released from the mental institution her parents were upset and think she should have stayed in. What sort of nastiness is that coming from her parents? She had just lost her kids, been arrested and put in a loony bin. So her parents of course took the opportunity to take control of all her assets and even her freewill with the consent of a judge no less.

With all due respect to Jamie Spears your daughter was in her late 20's if shes made bad decisions or not what right do you or a court have to take control of someones fortune, to take control of someones personal rights and freedoms. This seems like nothing more than another cash grab and way to keep your self afloat leeching off your daughter and in this case as she has no legal rights at all you control everything she does.

She can't move from her residence, she can't get married, she can make no legal decisions for herself of any kind. So she's being completely controlled by her father. She had better hope that she doesn't get in a car accident or he'll be pulling the plug faster than you can say "greed." Maybe he has already rewritten her will for such an occasion since he is in control of all her legal decisions and she has no say on anything it wouldn't be that difficult.

Now it has been almost four years since Jamie Spears has been in control of every aspect of his daughters rights. She is 30 years old and seems completely competent (something I think she always has been) don't you think it is time she controlled her own life. Time that she was given the ability to chart her own career or at the very least be able to choose where she lives.
