Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 2 Episode 8: The Dark Age- Review
I've always liked this episode. It is fun, and seeing some of Giles' sordid past never gets old. The villain is at least a little formidable and interesting. The gang first finds out Giles can get dark. And has in the past. Great moment. Anthony Head does a great acting job, which he always does, but in this episode he really shines.Robia LaMorte brings Ms.Calendar to life. She is beautiful, and sensual. Before demon possession and during. Giles' reactions to everything are full of anger and regret. Never gets old seeing him punch Ethan in the face. I love when Willow takes over the group, and becomes the adult for a bit. Shows how she's third in line for running things if Buffy and Giles are gone. Eyghon is a fairly interesting villain, and I'd kind of like to know what else he's done. I like the part at the end when Angel shows up and forces the demon into himself, where how own demon scraps with it, and ends up winning, killing Eyghon, and ultimately saving the day. A good, solid episode along the way.
