One might say that ‘Call me by your name’ is just a ‘gay love story’. But, the truth is that this movie is too remarkable to be defined by a limited number of characters. A beautiful story which will surely leave you reaching for a box of tissues, Call me by your name, has set the benchmark for romance for at least the next decade.
"Falling in love is easy, but sustaining it is much more difficult."
The protagonist of the story is Elio, a young boy who is yet to find his true self when he comes across Oliver. Over the course of a summer, you see these two human beings fall in love with each other.

The story gracefully brings down the clichéd concept of ‘forever’ while teaching us to live and enjoy the present. This story includes friendship, love, confusion, apprehension, evasiveness, heartbreak and much more. You see how difficult it is to take the first step and how difficult it is to go beyond that.
Falling in love is easy, but sustaining it is much more difficult.
You notice Elio’s curiosity when Oliver first steps in their house, you notice his jealousy when Oliver kisses another woman, you notice his happiness when they are alone and in the last scene, you notice and get astounded by his immense love for the boy who could not be his.
Besides the story, the delivery of lines by the actors is what makes this movie a masterpiece. The display of emotions, the extraordinary portrayal of the characters in the movie is what makes the person feel connected with them. Despite the sadness, there is romance in the movie. There are moments which will surely leave you breathless and on your toes to see what will happen next.
In the end, you will be left in an interesting medley of emotions and will walk in a daze for the moments to come.
