The request should be going to John's Long time living legend and partner Yoko Ono. I distinctly remember the Christmas of 1980. This is when John Lennon, was shot dead at point blank range outside the Dakota Apartment building in New York City. It was one of the assassinations that rank right up there with the shooting of J.F. K, and Martin Luther King. I was completely devastated and in mourning for weeks. At the time I was living in Sydney. in a Terrace house in Victoria Street, McMahon's Point, with friend Geologist Robert McLennan.

Became the very best that John-Lennon tried to symbolize what he really wanted. Peace on earth. After the groups experimentation with drugs such as LSD and their adventure into India under the Yoga Marrakesh. Imagine was the world he wanted. Fortunately the song lives on as an anthem of peace and how silly and futile wars are...
