The band Casting Crowns is not only one of the top-selling Christian groups of all time, they are also one of the top touring bands in America. This group started out in Daytona Beach, Florida in 1999 as a student worship band and is now consistently selling out concerts all over the globe.
Even with the busy schedule and huge success, lead singer, Mark Hall is still the youth pastor for Atlanta's Eagles Landing First Baptist Church. Four of the other members work as ministers for the church, and play at the Sunday services. Hall describes their music as a "ministry of discipleship."
In 2003, the group was taken in by Mark Miller and with Steven Curtis Chapman co-producing, their album, Casting Crowns, was released. This album made their debut one of the fastest selling in the Christian music history.
