Weird Celebrity Baby Names that Should Not Exist

Being a celebrity these days almost gives you a rite of passage to name your baby something insanely odd. Now, I am notorious for my strange taste in names, but some celebrity baby names sound more like cartoon character names to me. I'm under the impression that some celebrities intentionally choose weird names to boost their fame, even if it is only for a few weeks. Whatever floats your boat, I suppose. Some are undeniably cute and some are...... not and some are just plain and normal. It all comes down to how much you like a particular name and how much you think it would suit your baby.

Most Bizarre Celebrity Baby Names

  • Zuma Nesta Rock; baby of Gwen Stafani and Gavin Rossendale
  • Pilot Inspektor; baby of Jason Lee
  • Apple; baby of Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin

  • Tu Morrow; baby of Rob Morrow. This name is not even funny or clever, just stupid.
  • Moxie Crimefighter; baby of Penn Jillette

  • Story Elias; baby of Jenna and Bodhi Elfman
  • Tabooger; baby of Dan Cortese and Dee Dee Hemby
  • Yamma; baby of James Brown and Deidre Jenkins
  • Kal-el; baby of Nicholas Cage and Alice Kim
  • Banjo; baby of Rachel Griffiths and Andrew Taylor
  • Aquinnah; baby of Michael J. Fox and Tracy Pollan
  • Oriole Nebula; baby of Donovan and Linda Lawrence

As you can see from the list above, celebrities have a weird habit of naming their kids the most bizarre things. While I will admit I like a few of the names on this list, most are too much for me. However, a large majority are quite well-suited to dogs and cats if you want my opinion.

The Best Celebrity Baby Names

This will be a short list, obviously.

  • Bandit Lee: Gerard and Lyn-Z Way
  • Everly Bear: Anthony Kiedis
  • Sailor Lee: Christie Brinkley and Peter Cook
  • Luca Cruz (not so much Cruz, but Luca): Hilary Duff & Mike Comrie
  • Luke West: Kim Raver & Manu Boyer

  • Sebastian Thomas: Tommy Hilfiger & Dee Ocleppo
  • Sawyer Steven: Erica Hill & David Yount
  • Akiva: Anne Dudek & Matthew Heller
  • Atlas: Anne Heche & James Tupper
  • India Rose: Chris Hemsworth & Elsa Pataky

My own personal taste. Most names sound good, but when they're paired with a ridiculous first or middle name, the whole name is consequently ruined.

Maybe this is cultural thing. Celebs get in their Hollywood bubble, and regular names just sound so boring.

I love your new hub theme! It’s very nice. And a lot easier to read than your old one, actually.

Frank Zappa did have a great sense of humor but if he were my dad-I might just have gone off the deep end. Diva Thin Muffin? That should be illegal.

I love your list but I'd add Blue Ivy from Beyonce' and Jay-Z- I know it has personal significance to them but I would not want to be that kid in preschool.

Voted up, awesome, funny, and shared!
