Introduction to Charlie Sheen

Charlie Sheen is one of the world's most famous non A-list celebrities. He has appeared in large number of films and cameo roles, but he has also successfully starred in two sitcoms, Spin City and two and a Half Men.

His film roles include war films and comedic films such as Hot Shots, in which he reached some acclaim as an accomplished actor. Despite this his personal life overshadowed his acting, and even as recent as 2010 Charlie Sheen has suffered from bad press thanks to drug abuse and womanizing.

While his personal life may have earned him a bad reputation, his career, and his life has remained successful in many ways. Charlie Sheen has had in many ways a successful life, and his recent encounters with drugs and alcohol have led him to seek several stays in rehab.

Charlie Sheen History

Charlie Sheen was originally known as Carlos Irwin Estévez in 1965, to the established actor Martin Sheen (Who also took on a stage name). He was a successful pitcher and short stop for the Santa Monica High School, and appeared on broadway however he was in films as early as the age of nine, appearing alongside his father in "The Execution of Private Slovik".

Charlie Sheen's early career included a part in Ferris Bueller's Day Off and war films such as Platoon. From then on he has appeared in a large number of both low and high profile films, as well as having cameo roles in dozens more.

In his personal life he became known for his charitable donations, and his huge support for causes which were attempting to cure various cancers and AIDs.

After 9/11 he was also involved in requesting that the Whitehouse, claiming that the event follwed the path of a controlled demolition.

When it comes to romance Charlie Sheen has had a string of relationships and marriages, including Denise Richards and Brooke Mueller. These have all suffered from turmoil due to alcohol and drug abuse.

Recent Charlie Sheen News

On October 26th Charlie Sheen was hospitalized after a lunch with his Children and denise Richards. He was earlier reported to have been heavily intoxicated. Charlie Sheen was found acting both intoxicated and irrational, claiming that his wallet was missing.  He was found with a female escort without clothes and hiding in the wardrobe of the hotel.
