Warning 'Star Wars' Younglings, Sith, And Jedi

This article contains potential spoilers for some. Read at your own caution. I cannot prevent you from continuing if you haven't seen the films already. You might not even want to. The warning is still here as to help you if you prefer the longer route.

Is Jar Jar Binks A Sith Lord?

It is far from any notion of a secret that the Gungan from Naboo has often been a center for controversy. But, is he (or, has he become) a Sith? There is no easy answer of this question yet. It certainly seems possible. As some of us saw, in 'Star Wars: Age of the Republic, Special #1', Jar Jar Binks can be pretty bad. That is, bad in the good way. And, there has been a plethora of evidence provided that Jar Jar may secretly be a force sensitive. However, is he though? I think he might be. Keep in mind that, although 'Star Wars: Age of the Republic' is canon; the answer has yet to be fully provided by the current canon.

What The Canon Says

Moreover, there just isn't enough information either way to make a definitive decision. The canon is ever growing, but far from complete. Jar Jar Binks could be any number of things. It is all up to the writers. We need them to understand our desires for a Sith Lord Binks. With advances in technology, Jar Jar could be made to look utterly terrifying in a Sith reveal. The 'Walt Disney' writers have done a good job on their part with the writing so far. So, we can only hold our breath and keep our fingers crossed. Or, perhaps just keep our fingers crossed; we need to breath after all!

A Long Talk On The Darth Jar Jar Hypothesis

Is Jar Jar Dead?

Let us also consider the fact that, despite the rumors, there has been no evidence in canon that Jar Jar has died yet. Even if someone were to state, canonically, that he did die - that means nothing. More or less. Death for a Sith can be when the last remnants of their previous self die to the dark side. The word "death" in 'Star Wars' doesn't always refer to literal death of the body. What was Kylo Ren doing by attempting to kill his parents? Was he not attempting to kill his inner devotions to aspects of the light side. Anakin Skywalker was said to be dead. But, it was Obi-Wan Kenobi's way of stating that Anakin was fully lost to the dark side. Gaining a new name or title can be a first step in this general direction.

What Would Be Jar Jar's Sith Name?

What could it be, presuming that he would even have one? 'Star Wars' names are often based on words in various languages. 'Rey' means 'king' in Spanish. 'Vader' means 'father' in German. 'Ackbar' is pronounced like the Arabic word for 'great'. So, would Jar Jar have a Sith name like 'Darth Occultatum'? Who knows. However, I think that my suggestion is a good one. Something that you, the reader, can leave in the comments is an answer to the question; What would Jar Jar's name be if he is fallen to the dark side of the force? Who knows - maybe 'Walt Disney' will consider these ideas. They've been loyal to the fans thus far, in my opinion.

Petitions For Jar Jar In The New Trilogy

The newest trilogy has had a myriad of fans asking; Will Jar Jar Binks return? many of these same fans want it to be a Darth Jar Jar reveal. There is more than one Jar Jar petition on 'Change.org'. People really want to see Jar Jar Binks redeemed. Some of that has already been done. And, there is still so much work to do. Jar Jar is not just a flop. We cannot let that be the case. 'Star Wars' is one of the most fantastic franchises of all-time. If that wasn't so, then why would one of the most successful businesses in the world have any interest in it? We want to know what was really happening with the Gungan. Maybe we will continue to see the multiple sides of the individual.

Do you want Jar Jar Binks to be a Sith Lord?
