Daryl Hannah was born December 3, 1960 and has starred in many movies, including the popular Blade Runner, Kill Bill, Steel Magnolias and Splash. She was born in Chicago, Illinois to her mother Susan Jeanne, a former school teacher and her father Donald Hannah, a tugboat company owner.
She became interested in films at a young age and dreamed of becoming an actress. She says this was due to insomnia. She would stay up late watching movies on television. She claims she may also have Asperger syndrome, a form of autism.
In 1978 she made her debut in The Fury. In her early years, she turned down many roles, including the leading role in the hit movie The Blue Lagoon. Later that year she starred in the hit Summer Lovers.
Her least successful film came in the 1980s. This movie was Wall Street, which she received a Razzie award for.
Surgery
In the 1980s, she was a beauty icon. As she aged, she tried to keep her youthful appearance that made her famous by undergoing plastic surgery. Unfortunately, the procedures she had done were not flattering. She underwent a brow lift, face lifts, Botox eye lifts and cheek implants. It also appears she has plumped up her lips with collagan injections.
Recent Years
Her recent roles include Jane Ryder in A Closed Book and Margaret Boone in A Fonder Heart. She was also arrested on October 4, 2012 on trespassing charges. She was arrested for protesting the TransCanada Keystone XL pipeline by blocking heavy equipment. She is also a current member of the World Future Council, which focuses on climate security.
