Do You Think You Can Recognize The Famous People In These Skull Drawings?

Updated on March 15, 2012

No, these skulls are not real. They are just drawings, done by an artist who tried to imagine how the skulls of a few famous people would be. And by doing this, he tries to make people guess which skull belongs to whom. It is rather surprising when you notice it is not very hard to find out, only from a drawing of bones, that you can distinguish the person behind it.

Istvan Laszlo is an Irish artist, born in Romania. He graduated from Dublin College in 2006 and developed this rather eccentric approach on art. The following photos come from "Anatomy Of Skulls" and the attention to detail is impressive. Macabre or not, it surely is interesting to see, right?

Mahatma Gandhi

Adolf Hitler

Michael Jackson

Pope John Paul II

Vladimir Lenin

John Lennon

Freddy Mercury

Andy Warhol

Mao Zedong

Well I had managed to recognize the Pope, MJ and Hitler of course. I suspect Hitler is recognizable mainly because he has his famous mustache. I hadn't seen a skull with mustache before.
