Matt Smith Doctor Who!
Matt Smith Doctor Who!

Anticipation Of The Latest Series Of Doctor Who

Matt Smith is the new doctor as we know from the last Doctor who specials The End Of Time and I can't wait, un under a month for UK viewers on Saturday the 3rd of April the newest series of Doctor Who will air and this is series 5 the first full series for two years as the Specials filled the gap last year (2009) and from what I've seen with the series 5 trailers, 2 really good ones that are featured on this hubpage which were placed on Youtube.

The new series of Doctor who features many good aspects of the timelords adventures, the Daleks are back and Riversong meets up with the doctor for the second time which should be interesting, and of course a new companion Amy Pond may just give the doctor a hard time, Matt Smiths doctor who wears a tweed type light brown jacket with braces and a red bow tie (good choice!) seems like a good fit for a newly rebooted Who universe and I look forward to the new series as the days are just counting down.

The Tardis looks like it's undergone a bit of paint and decorating and also the interior of the tardis has been given a make over too, boasting new music scores and intro title sequences with a brand new Doctor Who logo, new head writer Stephen Moffat promises that this who will go in a completely different direction, although there will be some past favourite Doctor who monsters along the way, hopefully they will bring back some of the classic who monsters...the sea devils I hope and I'm sure I read somewhere that the silurians have been spotted whilst filming, who knows, the doctor will!!

Also a youtube video spotted on Youtube shows a a ginger haired bloke outside of the Tardis with the doctor, this could be the Van Gogh episode that I heard rumour of, these types of episodes equal the other past eras which we visited Charles Dickens and William Shakespeare.

I'm looking forward to the new Doctors adventures, to see Smiths acting on a consistent basis like his predecessor David Tennant, the future of Who starts at Easter....and I am most excited!!

Yes it was some great series with Matt Smith all right. Loved every one of them. Delighted they brought Rory back at the end too. But Do Not like the new TARDIS at all. Miss the old centre piece going up and down when they are travelling.

But all in all a great series and the actor Matt Smith really has filled the shoes of David Tennant, which I didn't think was possible. Roll on the Christmas special

The new series should be good, Stephen Moffat wrote some good episodes in the past, "Blink" is one of my favourites. I don't like the trailers, they can give too much away. It is more exciting when you don't know what is going to happen.

really looking forward to this too! Tenant did a great job though so he's got some really big shoes to fill. Glad to see the Daleks are still in the mix though ... would have missed them.

Yeah it is, although at one time the Doctor had a limited 13 lives, but I'm glad they've dispensed with that as it wouldn't have left much room for series scope, it certainly keeps the series fresh and exciting, especially when the tardis changes and the other central characters too.

      Cheers Amber!!

The concept of having a regenerating main character is extremely clever as it prevents the Doctor being set in our minds as just one person. It also stops the series dying when the actor wants to move on to take on different roles.

Oh I think it will air in Canada, it gets it funding partly from Canada and America, so I think you'd want a return on your investment, I'm really looking forward to this new series as it looks ace, just can't wait!

I hope it airs in Canada. I love Doctor Who but will miss that Tenant fella and Rose even if she does get a 'clone' of him in the end to love as her own. :)
