FOX (SERIES) Theories

Updated on April 7, 2016

Who is Fox?

If you've been keeping up with Fox, you've probably asked yourself on numerous occasions, "Who the eff is this?!" With a show as mysterious as this, it's hard to consider the possibilities of who she is and what she wants.

First off, this is a fantasy show so anything could be possible. I'm just offering a theory that makes sense.

She's a succubus. Let that set in. Ok, what is a succubus, you ask?

"A succubus is a demon in female form or supernatural entity in folklore (traced back to medieval legend) that appears in dreams and takes the form of a woman in order to seduce men, usually through sexual activity. The male counterpart is the incubus. In modern representations, a succubus may or may not appear in dreams and is often depicted as a highly attractive seductress or enchantress; whereas, in the past, succubi were generally depicted as frightening and demonic."

This would explain why she appears in Mina's dream- and if you've every read the books, Daisy's.

In episode 8 "Poison Apples," we discovered that she had hurt the villain (obviously emotionally) so she could have visited him as well. What does she want? To procreate but that may be too mature for the current audience, so the creators may have changed the reason.

Where do they come from? The most interesting theory I read online was that they are children of Lilith. Lilith is the first wife of Adam, first man created by God. She was more "evil" so to speak and God trashed her and gave him Eve, maybe not a better runner up.

The box could hold her reason(s) for visiting certain people. Maybe she keeps what she takes from them in there.

What do you think?
