Why did you decide to participate in a series called “One Thousand and One Nights” (written by Muhammad Nayer and directed by Raouf Abdel Aziz), even though it was previously presented in the 1970s and 1980s?
The reason is due to my fascination with the legendary "Sherazade" character that I will present in the series. Also, the work will be presented in a modern and different way from what was presented in the last century. It suffices that this generation will see me as "Sherazade 2015", especially since most of it does not know the basic story.
What is the message in the work?
The series is primarily entertaining, and its purpose is to entertain and enjoy watching, especially as it contains high-tech photography, and graphics, not previously used in this type of series. All done, to ensure the image quality. The work is directed not only to Egyptians, but also to citizens throughout the Arab countries.
-
Tell us about the "Sherazade" personality and the composition that appears in the work?
The "Sherazade" character includes a strange composition. She is a woman who carries romance and cruelty within her, and she wants to take revenge on "Shahryar", whose role is Egyptian actor Sharif Mounir, who represents all men.In the sense that she wants to take revenge on the "man" who manipulated the hearts of all women. The character by nature defends women and their rights and highlights major issues in Arab societies, especially those related to women, and we see with the sequence of episodes how everyone comes out in a love demonstration in support of "Sherazade".
-
Is the series composed of parts as it frequency, or is it only one part that will be presented in the coming month of Ramadan?
The series is made up of 90 episodes, and every 30 episodes will be shown in a different season, with the first thirty episodes showing in 2015, and the rest in 2016 and 2017.Every novel told by Shahrazad through 15 episodes, and many stars such as Aser Yassin and Amir Karara are involved in the work, and it includes many surprises as well, as we were keen to avoid stereotypes.
Were you not afraid of comparison with stars who introduced the "Sherazade" character before?
There is no comparison between me and other stars that have appeared in this character in other works. The upcoming series is different in content, meaning and performance, and the audience will watch me in a contemporary way.I bet on his success, especially since Mohamed Nair wrote it in a smooth, simple and easy way.His director is Raouf Abdel Aziz, and I am happy to cooperate with them a lot.I have felt serious and eager to get the work out in a good and strong way.
-
What about collaborating with business stars and shooting dates?
All the actors who participated in "One Thousand and One Nights" are highly talented and stardom. The spirit of love and cooperation prevails in the atmosphere of the scenes.Personally, I am still photographing my viewers and I am going to go on for several weeks.

You go back to cooperating with the actor Hani Salama through the series “My Share and Divide You” (Written by Amr Mahmoud Yassin and directed by Ali Idris).Tell us about this experience?
The tape is the first collaboration with comedian Mohamed Saad Yousef Al-Khal is a very affectionate father and actor
I return to cooperating with Hani Salama after seven years of absence since we together presented the movie "Al-Safah" (written by Khaled Al-Sawi and directed by Saad Hindawi). During this work, I only offer three episodes. It is a 15-story social drama, presented in two episodes. And I showed up to discuss life's troubles in marriage, love and divorce, and I can say that the work is like the episodes of the famous series “He and She” (starring Souad Hosni and Ahmed Zaki). Each heroine in "My Share and Divide You" appears in three stories, while Hani Salama embodies 15 characters, to be shown next Ramadan. Juveniles address the problems of men and women from various aspects in Egypt and the Arab world, while new techniques are used to photograph the work, which is implemented by director of photography Ahmed Abdel Aziz, and he creates his own soundtrack by composer Tamer Karawan.
Why did you agree to a work that you will only appear in three episodes
When I was offered the idea, it attracted me because it was simple. The duration of the episodes is one and a half hours, which is equal to the duration of the movie. So I agreed to present the series, and I consider it an addition to my artistic history, and this does not bother me at all. I also saw the special interest of those in charge of the work.
■ Tell us about the scenes behind the scenes depicting "my share and your portion"?
We have great actors on the artistic and humanitarian level, including Dora, Mai Selim, Sherine Adel and Reham Hajjaj. More than 150 artists from the stars of drama and cinema joined in this series, in a different and new frame, on Egyptian drama.
-
You are cooperating for the first time with the comedian Mohamed Saad through the movie "My life is wasted". Why did you accept this work?
I was very happy to work with Mohamed Saad, as he is a big Arab star with a long standing in the comedy, and the reason I accepted this work is my love for cinema, especially since I have long preferred to appear as a guest of honor in a number of films, including "Baba" with actor Ahmed El Sakka and "Samir Abu El Nil" With the actor Ahmed Makki, in addition to the story “My Life Is Lost” written by Sameh The Secret of the Seal with great craftsmanship, and directed by Shadi Ali with a sense of the talented artist. He is a director who realizes the value of each scene.
-
And what character do you provide at work?
I embody the character "Faten", the beautiful, naughty girl who falls in love with the movie's hero, Mohamed Saad, and his love for her is unilateral. In this tape, I rebel against the roles I previously performed and appear in the naughty comedic girl character. It took me a long time to prepare for the character, and we had sessions of work with the author, director and Mohamed Saad to agree on the character before filming began. Note that he relies heavily on graphics.
-
Didn't you fear criticism because of your acting alongside Mohamed Saad
On the contrary, I found special pleasure in collaborating with this artist who really has great talent. God willing, the work will be admired by the public and critics, and it will not be subject to criticism.
-
How do you see yourself among the Lebanese stars?
(Laughs) I have my own personality and my charisma as well, and I would like to say that Lebanese producers choose me to perform the Egyptian girl’s personality in their works. The participation of Lebanese and non-Egyptian actresses in general in Egyptian works has existed since the past. We have always seen a morning in front of Anwar Wajdi, Abdel Halim Hafez, and Leila Mourad with Naguib Al-Rihani and Youssef Wehbe ... all of it is success from God!
-
Tell us about the experience of motherhood?
Motherhood is the most beautiful feeling in the world. My little girl, Nicole, made me look at life in a different way than before, and it became my whole life. I cannot describe my feelings of happiness when I talk about them. But in short, she and my husband Yusuf al-Khal all my life.
-
How do you see your husband Yusuf al-Khal as husband and actor?
Youssef is very affectionate as a father and as a husband, and praise be to God always on a date with happiness. We have great confidence. Technically, he is a very talented artist and I do not say these words because he is my husband, but his works speak about him.
