Fantastic Beasts 2 and Where to Find Them (2018) Movie Review

Fantastic beasts and the crimes of Grindelwald is centered in the Harry Potter universe which chronicles the events leading up to a fight amongst the elite wizards deciding what the future of the wizarding community should be. Grindelwald played by Jhonny Depp's ultimate goal throughout the story is too gain a powerful ally in a young gifted wizard. As the story progresses Newt Scamander played by Eddie Redmayne goes on an adventure to uncover the truth about this young wizard past in hopes of keeping him from making a bad decision. This film paints a new landscape of the wizarding world and allows the viewer to gain new insights into the wizarding community. Such as seeing the laws put in place with magic amongst muggles. Or even the strict regulations set up by the ministry of magic.

This film in its entirety showed the wizarding world in a new way. fantastic beasts and the crimes of Grindelwald is a must see that builds on character development and should make for a great sequel with Credence Barebone played by Ezra Miller taking Front stage Claiming his birthright. This film builds on an already expanding wizarding world. This film is consistent in leaving little breadcrumbs for future plots to be established upon.

The narrative of the film does leave much to be desired as the premise of the film centers around Credence finding his biological family. Perhaps if the film would have focused more on a backstory to purebloods and their dissatisfaction with the current state of things this would have offset the constant oversharing of Credence story.
