My J-drama experience..
There are like SO many and sometimes I struggle to decide which one to watch and whether I'll enjoy it. So, I suggest you read the description of the movie before you get all fascinated over the movie cover because some of them are misleading.
J-Drama I like..
I tend to get drawn towards the 'school' related movies where the story is based on students' romantic lives and other teenage issues. Not really sure why but I find it more fun and enjoyable to watch movies relating to school life. I can tell you that 90% of the J-Dramas/Movies I watched so far are school-based. :P I am not going to say they're the best but personally if I had the choice between a school related movie or not, I'll defiently go for the school related one. Also, I prefer the college/uni related movies too; I feel that the relationships are not too clingy, boring, monotonous instead, they seem to be more adventorous, funny, cool, fascinating and most importantly relatable to me since I am a teenager.
Genre...
The most popular genre seems to be the Romantic-Comedy and I must say that it's really interesting because that's the genre I ADORE! ^^ I am all over Romatic-Comedy J-Drama's/Movie's because they're amazing and I feel really good after watching those types of movies.
Fave J-Drama..
My favourite Romatic-Comedy J-Drama has to be 'Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge' other than its rather long title, it's tremendously funny with a unique spice of romance. I stress you watch this movie if you haven't because you'll love it. It has a catchy theme song called 'Love Yourself' and that makes it so highly ranked for me; it's #1 for me.
I posted the link to the J-Drama 'Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge' so please watch it and I am sure you'll enjoy it 'till the end. ;)
Suggestions/Recommendations..
I will share with you my suggested/recommended J-Dramas and why I like them.
Here are a few of my suggestions:
1-Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge; ranked #2 on Dramacrazy.net is my top favourite because it's refreshing, funny, cool, exciting and so entertaining. It has this quirky comedy with a spice of romance to it; the best romantic-comedy movie I've ever watched yet. I recommend it because you learn how to "LOVE YOURSELF" and accept others for who they are. I fell in love with the ever so handsome and incredibly talented actor Kamenashi Kazuya because of his character in this drama. I highly stress on watching this drama, you won't regret it.
2-Gokusen; ranked #23 on DramaCrazy.net got straight to my heart. It's full of meanings and I sense joy whenever I remember watching this drama. It's funny, funny I mean really funny and teaches us to achieve our dreams regardless of the obstacles and to deal with dangerous people wisely. The theme song to it (FEEL YOUR BREEZE) is still my favourite and I often listen to it daily. PS: Girls, here's an encouragement, Jun Matsumoto stars in this one...he's the HOT guy! ;)
3- Mei-Chan no Shitsuji; ranked #24 on DramaCrazy is a unique romantic with hints of comedy drama. Mei is supposed to blend with her rich Academy classmates (girls) yet she remains beautiful from the inside and tackles the vast issues she faces during her time at the Academy. I suggest this drama because I honestly think you all should witness how all those rich girls own a Butler and what the Butlers' duties are towards them. Worth watching especially because Hiro Mizushima is.....HANDSOME!!!
4-Atashinchi no Danshi; ranked #18 on DramaCrazy focuses on how a young girl manages to act as a mother to a group of handsome boys. She struggles but finds her way on how to bring those complex boys together and succeeds on getting closer to them, almost like their mother..perhaps. Well, I recommend this drama because you'll understand how to work hard to achieve something for yourself and others even if this particular thing is under your will. Oh, and I love seeing guys battle secretly over a girl...hehe! Plenty of handsome and hot characters involving various hilarious scenes so I stress you watch this one.
5-Paradise Kiss; ranked #65 on DC is what I would lable as hmmm..okay, romantic. typical high school girl works hard at school to impress her parents but what a coincendence she bumps into a young academy fashion designer who was scouting for a model. You guessed it right, she has to be the model for Paradise kiss. She finally emotionally gets attached to a successful young academy fashion designer and accepts to be his model. Interesting romance story with some hints of HOT scenes. I would recommend this to you if you are really interested in the fashion world or modelling.
Well, these are my top 5 J-Dramas suggestions for you. I hope you find them of interest to you and eventually watch at least one of them.
