Fright Night a Horror Movie Cult Classic.
The Boy Who Cried Wolf.
Fright Night A Cult Classic.
Charlie Brewster is your typical young adult who enjoys staying up late at night watching horror movies on his favorite TV channel. Till one night he notices that the house next door to him has been purchased by a new owner. Charlie quickly takes note of two of the house tennants moving in. But their carrying a casket? Not sure what to make of it, Charlie goes back to watching his horror films.
The next following late night Charlie is awaken from a horrible scream from his window. Unknown where the scream came from? He goes back to sleep. Next day, he hears from the local TV news that a woman was found dead? Could the scream and the murder be connected?
Not sure, where the scream came from. Charlie decides to set a sting out from his room. To spy out from his room window to see if he can find out who the killer is?Later that night, he does catch something happening from the window of his room? Turns out the new neighbor is the killer. To make matters worse, the killer sees him too.
The Lore Of The Vampire.
Unlike some movies that bend all of the rules to favor vampires. Frieght Night follows the vampire lore to the source material. For instances, a sharp stake to the chest kills a vampire or wounds him. Another example, is that vampires can only enter a house if he/she is invited.
Ops, someone forgot to tell that to Charlie’s mother.
The Battle Between Good And Evil With Awesome Special Effects.
For a mid 80s film, a great deal of stop motion effects was utilize in making this film. But what looks the best is Jerry Dandrige vampire make up, when he transform from human to full blown evil vampire with the looks of a demon from hell.
Conclusion
A Cult Classic.
What can I say, I love the movie. In fact I watched this movie more than once. To me it’s a trip back in time to the mid 80s of when movies were told with real actors and utilize some special effects to make certain scenes stand out from the rest of the film. But more importantly I love it for how the story is told and the development of the characters through out the film. So if your looking for a movie that doesn’t rely on gore and murder to get the point across, then Fright Night is the movie for you.
