Funny Things that Happen to People

Updated on January 31, 2016

Well that's Embarrassing!

Searching for your "Missing Item" only to find it in your Pocket!

You begin your morning thinking you have everything but realize that you left your cell phone and keys somewhere. You say "oh no! I misplaced them I probably forgot them last night in the car." You check in the car but still no keys! No phone! you start pacing, the nerves running through your body, you got your family going crazy helping you search for the item. You looked under your couch, in the bathroom, in the oven and in the fridge but nothing! You ask yourself "Where could I have put it?" You searched everywhere except... YOUR POCKET! Oh man how embarrassing you just drove the whole house crazy and everyone around you nuts because you didn't realize the item was in your pocket the whole time. How embarrassing!

Slipped in Public

A wise man once said "It hurts the body to fall, but fall in public it will hurt your pride" Just kidding nobody has ever said that but its true! Falling in public is not fun its funny! It doesn't feel good but if its not a serious injury you could just get up and laugh at yourself. I once saw this man slip and felt really bad and went to go help him. When I went towards him he was laughing hysterically at himself which made me laugh and he said "Did you see that? I went to the moon and back" with his face flushed a little (I could tell he was embarrassed) he laughed at himself and that made him feel better. When you watch old school comedies we laugh at those who slip over a banana peel because of the reaction on that person's face. The reaction on the face says "I know I'm going to fall and I'm trying to stop myself but that is not going to happen thanks to gravity" Although it is embarrassing to slip in public you shouldn't feel too bad just remember you made somebody's day with a big laugh and a memory that will last forever.

Speeding Past a Slow Moving Car to Find Yourself Next to That Same Exact Car at Stop Light

I am guilty of doing this! I have to get to work and I am running late but the old woman in front of me is slowing down traffic and has a big gap in between her and the car in front of her. So I speed past her saying "Move out of the way old I'm coming through and I'm late to work!" Until we get to the light "Oh no it's turning yellow and now I'm stuck at the red light" Who pulls up beside me the cool little old lady with a smile, how embarrassing!

Shaved Your Eyebrow off by Accident

One day I was giving myself a haircut when I took a look at my watch and accidently shaved the side of my eyebrow off. Now the problem was that I had to go to school the next day with a quarter of my eyebrow shaved off. I ended up wearing sunglasses to class and told my teacher they were prescription. Thinking I was going to get away with it my teacher asked for the doctor's note and I was forced to take off my glasses, my half shaved eyebrow was exposed. A lesson learned be very focused when using a razor.

Caught Singing Out Loud

Singing in the shower such a fun activity especially when nobody is home. Have you ever sung in the shower and heard a giggle right by the door? You my friend have just got caught singing out loud! How embarrassing. I don't mind getting caught singing a song but what's really embarrassing is when you're singing a love song in the shower off key and you unknowingly have company over.

Emailing Mom that Sexy Message you Meant to Send to Your Significant Other

You-"So what are you wearing baby?"

Mom-"Excuse me Son?"

You-"Oopps Sorry mom, meant to text that to myself"

Geezee I'm just grateful I've never done this but heard it happen before. Please make sure you look at who you're sending the message to before you send it out because the last person you want to be flirting with is your mom or dad. :)

The shaving the eyebrow story made me laugh. I can relate to the naughty text thing too, except it wasn't to my mother. It was a message that contained a funny meme, meant for a friend but sent instead to someone who was interviewing me for a job! Talk about embarrassing! Albeit funny, too. Sometimes you just gotta laugh.

I had just started working a night shift at a nursing home. My first night there, I was trained by a really nice supervisor. When my shift ended, I bought a liter of Mountain Dew and headed over for my first day training at an agency. I didn't tell anyone I was working 2 jobs, and going back-to-back with them, because that would have made me look bad. I arrived on time, bright eyed from drinking the Mountain Dew; I had no intention of letting the people there know I'd been working all night.

Who should walk in 10 minutes later but my supervisor from the nursing home! It was her first day there, too!

We both had a good laugh - and told no one our secret.
