As an amateur photographer, my dream is to capture the beauty of everyday life, and plants are truly exquisite. Not only do flowers bring a sense of joy to my world, but these inspire many of my drawings and paintings. I also love to watch the cat Anastasia and the new kitten Stripey frolic among the flowers and vegetables in their garden up in the San Bernardino Mountains. Watching a baby kitten discover the joy of catnip, or sniffing a flower for the first time in her life is truly glorious, and nothing could be more joyful than that! Today in our harsh political environment I often need an escape from talk of politics, so I love to look at garden pictures to help me find a sense of peace and calm. I hope you enjoy scrolling through this slide show as well.
Now that Anastasia the cat is no longer pitter-pattering along the garden paths of this earth, the photographs of her near and in the garden are quite nostalgic.

A closeup of the lovely yellow sunflowers, which would be fun to sketch.
Greenery is fun to look at in the garden, and I enjoy taking some of my pictures from a sideways angle because I think of what a bee must see when he flies through the garden.
