George was one funny man!!! I was at one of his shows back in the 80's, he had us laughing from start to finish. I'm just glad we didn't have seats in the front row, those fans got the brunt of the jokes! LOL Superb hub!

Many of my friends love George Carlin. He is a very intelligent guy. He makes very insightful observations. My only trouble is that he doesn't make me laugh! :-)

I remember when George Carlin was a funny young man and we had never heard anything like it before. We laughed so hard we dropped the joint and burned the couch.

Awesome hub on one of my favorite comedians. Carlin's work was always a different look at life....and all his stories were easy to identify favorite bits of his were "other drivers" and of course "7 dirty little words". Thanks for attaching the two audios of some of Carlin's last works. Voted up and awesome.

Great hub, Alladream! George Carlin was not only a great comedian but he had an exceptional way of stating truth through humor. This is a great tribute to him!

Why is it that we drive on a parkway and park on a driveway? One of my all time favorites Victor, language and all. I don't think it was so much about the cussing as it was about truth (why some folks were turned off by him). He said things just like they were and I actually let Justin hear him when he was old enough to understand the comedy. He and Richard Pryor are probably my 2 all time favorites, I could just look at them and bust out laughing. Good hub man! I see you made it to Oakland, were you in on any of the craziness?

Despite the fact that he swore all the time, I have never missed a comedy special. My favourite skit of his is talking about how we age (i.e. a 30 year old is like a carton of milk that has gone bad...)

Carlin was brilliant and I miss him. Great hub. While Bill Hicks will probably always be my favorite comedian, Carlin is a close second.

      Thanks for posting this.
