Gossip Girl Kelly Rutherford Pregnancy

Gossip Girl star Kelly Rutherford is pregnant and expecting her second child in June 2009. Kelly Rutherford is 40 years old now - she is going through a divorce and raising a two year old son and is pregnant with a baby girl and has a strong career. Kelly Rutherford has spent the last several months fighting with her husband Daniel Giersch, who is an entrepreneur, over the custody of their son who is two years old now. The fight between them is bitter and an elongated legal hassle. Recently, the court ordered that Kelly Rutherford can bring her son Hermes with her to New York where she is shooting her next film.

Kelly Rutherford and Daniel already have a two-year-old son named Hermes. Kelly plays Blake Lively's mother Lilly van Der Woodsen in gossip girl TV show. Kelly said that Hermes is no stranger to the Gossip Girl set. She and others regularly bring their kids and their dogs to the set. It is like a child day care at the make up room. Kelly Rutherford let her leopard belly peek out from under her coat (see picture) revealing her pregnancy. Kelly was so happy about the court ruling about the custody of her son. Now she is able to take him with her to New york from CA for her shooting in NY.

Kelly Rutherford got popular from the hit TV show in '90s drama Melrose Place. But in the new remake of Melrose Place, Kelly does not have any role to play. Maybe thats because she is so busy with Gossip Girl show. The Gossip Girl is trying to keep a positive outlook on the situation for the sake of their children. Rutherford files for divorce last year and was just given permission to take Hermes to New York until the end of the Gossip Girl film schedule in March. Going through a difficult divorce while expecting and taking care of of a two-year-old has been challenging for this working mom. However, she feels thankful and very blessed. Her husband complains that Kelly has anger issues and gets very stressed out during shooting times.

The couple attended yet another custody hearing regarding two year old son Hermes, and whether he would be allowed to be with his mother in New York through March. Kelly said she will be more stressed only if she has to be away from her son. Kelly is still breastfeeding her two year old son and she says it is common in some cultures to breastfeed their babies up to five years.
