How I Met Your Mother A.K.A Why I Should Be With Robin Scherbatsky
How I Met Your Mother
How I Met Your Mother is one of my favorite TV Shows that I never get tired of. It's about Ted Mosby, an architect who is a hopeless romantic. It's about his journey and his friend's journey throughout the years and their story of meeting the mother of his children.
Ted Mosby is a very typical guy, that is head over heels for a woman: Robin Scherbatsky. Robin Scherbatsky is a woman who doesn't want marriage and kids, which makes their relationship impossible. Throughout the seasons, Ted and Robin's relationship is on and off. But it stopped when, Ted's friend: Barney Stinson: a playboy fell in love with Robin.
Soon, Ted met his wife: Tracy McConell. And they were supposed to be together forever, because it's Ted Mosby's dream, then Tracy fell ill and died. Meanwhile, Barney and Robin broke off their marriage.
The last part of the scene is Ted Mosby admitting that he told the story on how he met their mother for them to realize how much he loved Robin and asking his kid's blessing to be with Robin again.
Everytime I watched How I Met Your Mother, I always get bummed about the ending, because after everything that Robin put him through he still ended up with her. For me, it's so unfair, because Ted is not Robin's first choice, but she always was for Ted. It makes me think that life is so unfair, and why are the good ones always gotta be with someone like Robin (although Robin is nice) I think she doesn't deserve to be with him.
Ted Mosby is one of my all-time favorite character, including Marshall Eriksen and Lily Aldrin (also characters from HIMYM). He deserves to be happy with someone like Tracy McConell, but he ended up with Robin, but I guess that's what makes him happy and have to accept that fact.
The series was still great even if it ended up like this. I would still give a 4.5 out of 5 star for this series.
If you also didn't like the ending here's an alternate ending:
