What's the First Thing You Look For?
Just the Right Amount of Eye Contact can Determine if Someone is Lying to You
Just the Right Amount - How to Tell when Eye Contact Exposes the Liar
Even as those filthy liars read these exact words as you, don't be discouraged - for nobody can silence the eyes!
That's right. A master liar can get away with telling lies at an astounding 83% of the time. Knowing these basic techniques can cut it down drastically to 39%; even further down for some who happen to believe in ESP and clairvoyance.
Inexperience liars, such as most children, have a difficult time looking at the person they're lying to in the eye. This is caused usually by nervousness, because the person wants to remember what they're saying so they can recall what's already been said.
However, this is only the case about 63% of the time because the people who are telling the truth just want to state facts, so they will look away (unintentionally) to try to remember every helpful detail.
A little more experienced liar, the liar that will look dead in your face & lie, these liars are inexperienced too, but these liars are dangerous. And if something isn't done about it, these liars will be lost and shall sit upon a throne of their own lies forever.
These liars will look in your eyes, but if you're smart enough & clever enough, you can tell if you're being lied to.
When a person looks into your eyes, notice if they're looking back & forth to each of your eyes. These liars flip back & forth to each eye rather rapidly. If a person does it about 15 - 25 times a minute, chances are their lying (71%). If they do it less it's (48%). If they do it more (52%).
Then there's that cold stare these type of liars will do, the ones where they lock eyes with you and don't let go (61%). These liars are trying to convince themselves, as well as you that they're telling you the truth. In fact, these liars will do just about anything to try and convince you. No matter how irrational or irrelevant it is.
Like I said - these inexperienced liars are dangerous.
- a study shown that 88% of liars tend to look to the left
Can you automatically tell if someone is lying to you just by looking into their eyes? Do you feel as a gift?
What's the Second Thing to Look For?
Reading Body Language can Sometimes Tell a Whole Different Story
Reading Body Language - How to Listen & Watch Two Different Stories at the Same Time
It really doesn't take an expert to read the basic signs in reading body language.
The second thing to start noticing is body language, because reading body language is very important but can also be very misleading.
These basic methods on reading body language are quick & easy to remember.
People who seem to fidget, touch their face, put their hands in & out of their pockets, &c., it would seem these people would be lying. And you would be correct if you thought so.
However, to what extent are these liars willing to go. These liars, although may seem innocent at first, have LOTS to say, but are afraid to say to much. You know they're lying, you just want to know why they're lying.
These liars also try and put things to separate the two of you (e.g. a couch, table, pillow, &c.). This is a subconscious effort to put a barrier between the lies and the truth.
Uncanny, isn't it?
