If they weren't there, I would not have noticed!
Victim of Supermarkets And Their Check Out Lanes
Since moving back home from the city I am limited to the one grocery store for I would have to drive approximately 2 hours to get to another one. Apart from the fact that the prices there are what I call, "higway robbery," it lacks choices, and specialty foods I once loved to browse and purchase just to try my taste buds to something new. In the city I so looked forward to grocery shopping, I even enjoyed not running into someone I would know and my only purpose was to explore the fascinating food choices. And yes indeed, City supermarkets have magazine lined check out lanes too. The only benefits I see to magazine racks being in the check out lanes are to help me ignore others while waiting in line and also it is my usual attempt to not be too rude--would not want to get caught staring at anyone. I therefore pick up one to rifle through creating an illusion of seeming busy. Celebrities are on the front covers and the content consists of information about them. Any pages between are usaully advertisements.
Can my standing in line at the grocery store turn me into an obsessed with the celebrities and their loves individual?
