Director:Christopher Nolan

Cast: Leonardo DiCaprio, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Ellen Page, Ken Watanabe, Cillian Murphy, Tom Hardy, Marion Cotillard.

You cannot for a moment allow yourself to be distracted during this mind-blowing heist movie. It is a thought-provoking spectacular experience with the power to catapult your mind into states of consciousness that make you realise what Buddha meant by self realization.

My advice to you is to refrain from reading too much about the plot as I feel knowing too much about it would detract from an experience which is meant to be unpredictable. Somewhat like taking the ride called Oblivion in the UK theme park Alton Towers.

All you need to know is that Leonardo DiCaprio plays the hero Dom Cobb, the leader of a team of operatives that specialises in stealing ideas from people's subconscious by breaking into the labrynth of their dreams.

Because you are following the story on so many levels there are times when dreams and reality become so blurred you question your own take on reality. The special effects are second to none and make the awe inspiring connection between the conscious and unconscious worlds credible to even the staunchest realist.

Though our intellects are challenged to such a high degree by the twists and turns of this very complex story the plot also involves the seat of human emotion -the subconscious and so we experience all the feelings that go with this ride of a lifetime.

If you are not into engaging your intellect and imagination in equal proportions so that you leave the cinema feeling mentally and emotionally drained this is not the movie for you.

There are so many layers to this movie that demand full concentration throughout but for the creative and enlightened ones among you this movie is a very rewarding experience somewhat like a memorable dream that will stay with you for life.

In my view Inception is a very clever story that effectively educates the viewer about the subconscious and the role it plays in each of our lives and for this reason seeing this movie is your obligation if you have any interest in understanding yourself and the human condition.
