Inspiration and Creativity
How to Think Outside the Box
If you like to write, paint, design clothes, or even websites, you know that being creative is an important part of your hobby or work. The people that are most successful or considered most talented are ones that produce original, unique pieces of art or literature. Although, nothing is completely original. Every person brings their experiences and influences to the table when creating something new. When writer's block takes place or artists draw a blank, sometimes it takes inspiration from various sources to kick-start their creativity again. These are some of the ways that I have stimulated my heart, soul, and brain in order to express reflections of myself in the forms of poetry, informative articles, and paintings.
Take a Shower to Find Inspiration
Inspiration Station
When life gets hectic and distractions abound, you need a quiet place to think in order to create thoughts outside the bounds of your normal sphere. Find somewhere whether it's in your house, your backyard, a museum, restaurant, or even a national park where you can get away from the routines of life and where you can most easily let your thoughts fly without inhibition.
Music
Music has a way of conveying feeling, summoning memories, and conjuring up beautiful images and ideas. The rhythm of a certain song can help you if you want a certain beat or cadence for a poem. A certain theme from a song can help you to decide what your painting should be about or help you to display a feeling in art. There are so many artists, bands, and styles of music, but using the internet can help you to narrow down your search for music that can later become the muse for your own masterpieces.
Art
Art is full of emotion and creativity that it's impossible not to react to it with your own creations. It can be found anywhere you look, including museums, galleries, restaurants, and the Internet. Gaze intently at pieces of art and you will find the ideas you've been looking for.
Sum It Up
1. Find a quiet place to help you to think freely.
2. Listen to music that catapults you to past memories and evokes emotion in order to tap into your creative subconscious.
3. Find art that inspires you to express yourself.
