"KING KENDRICK LAMAR" pt 2

Updated on April 4, 2014

" Cause when the whole world see you as Pac reincarnated, Enough pressure to make you just open the Book of David, And pray to God that ya make it or live your life in the matrix, Cause falling off is a sickness, I heard that it's quite contagious, I need to separate myself to stand out, I need a better way to take your fans now, I need to kill you mother**s dead, Three hollow tips aimed at your head, I'll be damned if the chopper jam now" - Kendrick Lamar (The Heart Pt.3)

Kendrick Lamar just might very well be the greatest rapper to have ever consistently dominated Hip-Hop; proceeding in the steps of Hip-Hop Legends. The MC picked up five awards including Album of the Year, Lyricist of the Year, and Rapper of the Year in 2013 and was passed the torch from the west coast rapper Snoop Dogg; Kendrick noted that he ran with it in high pursuit. He was even given the title of being the hardest working rapper; which assures you that he is indeed Overly Dedicated but the mark that Kendrick Lamar has already left in the history of rap is inevitable. Many cohesively admit that Kendrick's music transmits to the point where it is changing the entire music Industry as a whole, because not only does his music speak to the people but it penetrate's a message and tells a story about his journey. The MC stated that his biggest fear was not feeling accomplished, a line from his song "The Heart Pt.3". His humble approach showcases his fortitude and drive to continuously be great and after dropping his most acclaimable album to date "Good KiD, m.A.A.d City" and laying down his featuring verse on The song "Control" by Big Sean. The Compton rapper let the world know that he was unmatched and that his entire vibe gravitated to a whole other spectrum in the rap game. "Im the king of New York ,King of the Coast, one hand, I juggle them both" - Kendrick (Control). The controversial piece did not only alert MC's to what time it was, but Kendrick made it very clear that he was here to revitalize and rejuvenate rap again.

"Look inside of my soul and you can find gold and maybe get rich, hol' up, Trinidad Jame$ in four weeks, But now my album platinum and sh*t, so what, Y'all keep the numbers, I'm more than another statistic, my nigga, This courtesy of Compton, Brooklyn go hard, motherf***r, Love me on the East like I'm Chuck D, Dominicans wish that I was born there, I'm lookin' to be the god MC, You look at my hat and see thorns there" - Kendrick Lamar (B*tch don't Kill my Vibe Remix Ft JayZ)

"I can feel the changes, I can feel the new people around me just want to be famous, You can see that my city found me then put me on stages,To me that's amazing" - Kendrick Lamar( B*tch Dont kill my vibe)

"B*tch Don't Kill my Vibe" amongst "HiiiPower"," Rigamortus", "Poetic Justice", "Compton ft Dre" and others were some of Kendrick's most commended songs. Where the rapper converses about his paramount growth and going Platinum. The MC best known for rapping about "Sherane" and his experiences on the streets of Compton, even as a young rapper, K.dot steadily pushed tracks with lyrics of his hometown. Kendrick doesn't hide his love for Compton either; praising Compton as the place that has made him all that he is today. The well-versed rapper, says that he doesn't hold back from challenging himself because he realizes his music is bigger than just him. The MC has released five mixtapes, two full Albums and twenty-seven singles. Kendrick conveyed a new sound and people responded to it. Recently, at the 2014 Grammy's, many felt that the rapper was robbed from just about every major hip-hop award including Best Rap Album and Best Rap Performance, as opposed to Macklemore who walked away with four awards. Kendrick modestly stated:

“ It’s well deserved; he did what he did, man. He went out there and hustled and grinded. Everything happens for a reason; the universe comes back around, that’s how it go.” - Kendrick Lamar

Kendrick took to the big stage on March 12th of this year, successfully performing at the "iTunes Festival at SXSW" along with Schoolboy Q and Isaiah Rashad, it was a feast indeed. Kendrick Lamar is currently on tour but according to Billborad Magazine, It is said that TDE (Top Dawg Entertainment) hinted and mentioned that the Compton MC is expected to drop an album this September, making it his third LP; along with the whole TDE crew, who is noted to be releasing albums including a collective from " Black Hippy" sometime this year. TDE has already announced there takeover as being the "Best Rap Crew", well I can assure you that plenty of fans will be on the look out.

" I'm standing on the field full of land mines, Doing the moonwalk, hoping I blow up in time.." - Kendrick Lamar ( HiiiPower)
