Lady Gaga earned $80 million dollars last year, 9th highest among the top 100.

The powerful and beautiful Lady Gaga has done it again, claiming the second spot on the Forbes top 100 powerlist. Lady Gaga was edged out by the global icon Oprah Winfrey, who reclaimed the top position after finishing runner-up the previous two years. Despite time off and a hip injury, Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" tour brought in $168 million dollars worldwide. This is pretty impressive, considering that the tour fell short because of her injury.

Lady Gaga brought in $80 million dollars last year alone. Although her earning ranking was only 9th on the list, her ability to connect with her fans all across the world landed her 2nd only to Oprah Winfrey. Lady Gaga is always active on Facebook and Twitter, connecting with millions of fans across the world. This interaction has been constant over the years, giving Lady Gaga a social media rank of 3rd.

Lady Gaga scored high with the press, ranking 2nd on the list. There is never a dull moment when Lady Gaga walks the red carpet or meets with the press. For the most part, Gaga is always respectful with the press. Her creativity alone was worth a 2nd ranking. Her music has inspired millions and her talents know no bounds. Lady Gaga did receive top honors as she was the highest ranking musician in the top 100.

Steven Spielberg came in 3rd this year, earning $100 million last year. Spielberg was the only man in the top 5, showing that women really are in control of the world. Women should be proud, 4 of the top 5 most powerful celebrities in the world are women! Beyoncé comes in ranked 4th, earning $53 million in 2012. Those earnings were down a little, considering Beyoncé was pregnant. Rounding out the top 5, the music icon Madonna. Madonna was the highest earner on the Forbes top 100 powerlist, earning $125 million dollars last year alone.

I was glad to see that Madonna is still in the ranking. Lada Gaga is not one of my favorites, but a lot of people must love her. Interesting read...
