Lifetime's Flowers in the Attic
You may have read the book years ago or even seen the movie. The movie about a ruthless grandmother who keeps her grandchildren locked in the attic for a certain amount of years.
Flowers in the Attic aired Saturday January 18, 2014 at 8pm on Lifetime. It stars; Heather Graham, Kiernan Shipka, Ellen Burstyn, and Madison Dye.
Flowers in the Attic is based on the novel by Virginia C. Andrews. Corrine (Graham)'s husband dies and she is left with her four children Cathy (Shika), Christopher (Dye) and two younger children. She is left penniless and decides to look for comfort to her mother in Virginia.
Her mother is rich so she stays with them. The children's grandmother (Burstyn) does not want her husband knowing about her grandchildren or the help. She shows them their room and keeps them locked up in the attic. They are instructed not to come out of their room.
While stuck in the attic Cathy (Shipka) and Christopher (Dye) begin to have feelings for each other. Incest develops and Corrine is not the sweet mother she is at the beginning of the film. She gets married and runs off with her husband leaving her four children to suffer in the attic.
