Movie Review: Piranha 3D
Review on Piranha 3D The Movie
A Suspenseful 3D Movie Thats Worth Watching
Piranha 3D is a rated R movie that is filled with suspense and fun scenes that were filmed at Lake Victoria. Although the movie was very entertaining, I would not recommend that you bring anyone under the age of 16 because of its graphic nature, nudity and gory moments when the piranhas attack. Nevertheless if you are old enough to watch a rated R movie, I am sure you will find this movie quite entertaining. The 3D effects enhance the movie in a way that could have you bracing your seat during the intense moments.
What is Piranha 3D About?
The movie starts off on a spring break in which thousands of people gather to party in Lake Victoria. Random seismic activity occurs shortly before the spring break festivities and creates a gap in the floor of the lake. The seismologists discover that the piranhas have inhabited the underwater caves and were starting to come to the surface when they sensed blood in the water. After a series of strange events, the town begins to discover that there may be a new species of piranha that was thought to be extinct for millions of years. As the sheriff continues to discover dead bodies in the water, it becomes clear that the crisis should be declared a "State of Emergency". Lots of people die in this movie from piranhas and from random accidents caused by panic and chaos. If you like suspense movies that keep you on the edge of your seat, this is definitely worth watching.
I would rate the plot 4 out of 5 stars as it was easy to understand and very captivating. I wasn't expecting so much nudity but it didn't bother me much, I was just a little concerned when I saw younger kids watching the movie. The movie contains a good series of really intense scenes, and also has adequate dialogue to support the plot of the movie.
