Amazon's Top 10 Music CDs for Sale
Top 10 Music CDs for Sale in Amazon
I just went over to Amazon.com trying to find good music CDs. I do not usually buy CDs, preferring to download them into my phone or computer. But this one got my attention. It’s Amazon.com’s top 10 music. Updated every hour, it features some of the recognizable singers of the current times. Looking at the list, I can’t help but think maybe I should bring these up in my hub (before they shift again). So here are the top 10 music of Amazon as of uhm, October 24, 2009, 10 a.m. to 11:00 am San Francisco / Bay Area time.
Number 10: Let’s start with number 10. I’m not really surprised that this one is on the top 10. Actually, I think this may very well go up to the top 5 or even the top 1 within the next two weeks (just my prediction, mind you). I’m talking about Michael Jackson’s latest CD: This is It. Composed of two discs, it features some of the biggest hits of MJ, the title music itself (with an orchestral version) and demo versions of several of his classics. Plus, it includes MJ’s exclusive photos from his last rehearsal, which are featured in a 36-page commemorative booklet.
Number 9: With Christmas season just around the corner, this is indeed a timely music CD to have. Entitled “Christmas in the Heart” (by Bob Dylan), it includes some of the well-loved classic Christmas songs such as Here Comes Santa Claus, I’ll Be Home for Christmas, Winder Wonderland, Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas and Little Drummer Boy. This is Bob Dylan’s 47th album and as part of his fight to end world hunger, all the royalties from the U. S. sale of this album will be donated to Feeding America.
Number 8: The number 8 music CD is from one of the most popular rock bands of our time: Bon Jovi. The title of the album? The Circle. Produced by John Shanks, it features the single “We Weren’t Born to Follow”, reputed to be the fastest growing single in the history of Bon Jovi. The songs in this album showcase the positive theme that underlies The Circle.
Number 7: Music number 7 is the much awaited first-ever Christmas album released by Andrea Bocelli: My Christmas. The album features favorite Christmas songs produced by David Foster. Just a peek on some of the songs found in this album: Silent Night, The Lord’s Prayer, Santa Claus is Coming to Town, Angels We Have Heard on High and Blue Christmas. Through this album, Andrea Bocelli collaborated with famous singers such as Natalie Cole, Mary J. Blige, Reba McEntire and Katherine Jenkins.
Number 6: The List by Rosanne Cash (the very talented singer / songwriter daughter of Johnny Cash) comes in at Number 6. It contains 12 tracks that showcase country songs as interpreted by Rosanne. Four of the songs in this album were sung by Rosanne with other singers, the most notable of which is Bruce Springsteen.
Number 5: The next CD or album is For Your Entertainment from the first runner-up of the 8th season of American Idol, Adam Lambert. This CD is yet to be released (the release date is on Nov. 23, 2009) and yet it is already in the top 5 music CDs featured in Amazon.
Number 4: With the much awaited and very popular sequel of the Twilight, it’s no wonder that the original soundtrack of this movie is also in the top 4 music of Amazon.com. The title of the album is “The Twilight Saga: New Moon Soundtrack” and it features songs by various artists such as Band of Skulls, The Killers, Anya Marina, Muse, Hurricane Bells, Sea Wolf, Grizzly Bear and Editors.
Number 3: Crazy Love by Michael Buble (love this guy) comes in at number 3. Its first single, Haven’t Met You Yet, was written by Michael Buble himself. With his own take on songs (whether his original or not), he brings to life 13 songs in this album such as Cry Me A River, All of Me, Crazy Love (the title song), Hold On, Heartache Tonight and Stardust.
Number 2: From the much loved first-runner up of Britain’s Got Talent, Susan Boyle, comes this number 2 album: I Dreamed a Dream. The songs in this album showcase the musical ability of this wonderful singer. Just some of the songs featured here (other than the title song, that is): You’ll See (yup, the original song sung by Madonna), Amazing Grace, Silent Night, Cry Me a River, Wild Horses (from the Rolling Stones) and Who I Was Born to Be (a song written specifically for Susan Boyle).
Number 1: And the number 1 is (drum roll please) Nightcastle by Trans-Siberian Orchestra. This contains 2 CDs featuring all-new material in 26 tracks. Take note, the CD is yet to be released on the 26th of October and yet it is already number one on Amazon.com’s list. Plus, this album has already spent 55 days in the top 100! It’s safe to say that there are already a lot of people waiting for this album.
Those are the top 10 music in Amazon.com. The list may vary but for sure, these are some of the best albums I have seen on any top 10 list. Thanks for reading my hub and enjoy the music!
