You Must See this Amazing Video
Male Singer Sounds Like Whitney Houston
Did you watch the first videos of Great Britain's charming Susan Boyle - of the unaffected manner (so far) and the lovely, sweet voice. She was amazing, wasn't she? She blew away Simon Cowell and company with her performance of the beautiful song, "I Dreamed a Dream," from "Les Miserables."
Well, get ready. You're going to be blown away again. Just as Susan Boyle dazzled the judges on the television show, "Britain's Got Talent," wait till you see and hear Lin Yu Chun and his version of "I Will Always Love You." He performed it on the Taiwan TV show, "Super Star Avenue."
When you closed your eyes and listened to fhis boy wonder, did you feel as if you were listening to Whitney Houston? or Dolly Parton? He's called a boy wonder but the "boy" part is misleading. Although he looks like a teenager, he has attained the ripe old age of 24. But the wonder part is absolutely accurate.
Although the video gives credit to Whitney Houston's rendition of the song, "I Will Always Love You," it was written and subsequently recorded by Dolly Parton in 1973. Watch the next video of Whitney Houston's version from the sound track of the movie, "BodyGuard," in which she co-starred with Kevin Costner.
Now that you have heard Whitney's version as well as Lin's, don't they sound remarkably alike? Lin seems to be the favorite to win the grand prize on the Taiwan TV show which is one million dollars, as well as the opportunity to release an album. Not bad for a previously unknown, chubby, height-challenged singer. He also has amazing eyebrows - did you notice?
Now take a look at this video of Dolly Parton singing her own song from the soundtrack of the movie, "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas," in which she co-starred with the ubiquitous Burt Reynolds. Isn't she pretty? Isn't he pretty, too?
Leona Lewis sang her version of the song on Britains's "X Factor" television show in 2006 -similar to the TV show, "Britain's Got Talent," which rocketed Susan Boyle to superstardom. It hasn't hurt Leona's career, either.
Now that you have listened to all four versions, which is your favorite? Please take the poll below and comment, too. Thank you.
Which artist's version of the song, "I Will Always Love You," is your favorite?
Something to Think About
Susan Boyle's first album has sold millions of copies worldwide to date and she netted her first royalties with a check for $4,000,000 which coincided with her 49th birthday.
Will Lin Yu Chun do as well?
