My Celebrity Crushes Over The Years! Part 1
Shaun Cassidy!
With the recent death of Davy Jones, I got to thinking about some of the pretty boys from television, movies, and music that I've had crushes on. Davy was a bit before my time, but I can definitely see how he must have made the girls swoon.
Last weekend, I found myself at the library looking through the DVDs, and I almost gasped out loud when my fingers hit The Hardy Boys. Oh my, what a couple of cuties! I absolutely loved Shaun Cassidy! I've been watching the shows this week and they have been bringing back so many memories.
So here are some of my celebrity crushes starting with Mr. Feathered Hair himself, Shaun Cassidy!
Shaun Cassidy
The oldest son of Shirley Jones, Shaun Paul Cassidy was born on September 27, 1958. I first noticed him on The Hardy Boys along with Parker Stevenson. Parker was cute, but Shaun was my guy and I had the posters to prove it! I also bought his albums, too. Did he have a great voice? I don't remember, I wasn't listening. I was too busy gawking!
Scott Baio!
He'll always be Chachi to me! I fell asleep to his sweet face every night and awoke to those gorgeous eyes every morning. Posters were like gold to teenagers back then! I fell in love when I first saw him as Fonzie's cousin on Happy Days. *sigh* Then he started dating Joanie and took off to have their own show and I kind of lost interest! That tart! He was also in Bugsy Malone and Skatetown U.S.A with Patrick Swayze. I've been waiting patiently for the DVD of Skatetown to be released! C'mon guys! Anyway, after all these years, he's still a cutie!
Ponch!
Erik Estrada was a bit older for me when I first spied him on "CHiPs", but I still had a crush on the old dude! I know absolutely nothing about him except that was or still is a deputy sheriff in Virginia. I love that he still pops up in TV shows every now and then! I say the same thing every time I see him, "It's Ponch!" Confession: I've just about worn out my DVD set of the first season of "CHiPs" because I've watched it so much!
Ray Reyes!
Ray Reyes was a member in the group Menudo during the early 80s. I liked him so much, I thought about learning Spanish, but I never did. I think he still sings today, but I haven't heard anything by him. Crushes come and crushes go, much like the members of Menudo!
