My Naruto Review

Updated on January 6, 2017

I watched it for approximately 3 weeks and I loved it. For some people, it may be a cartoon for kids or boys, but to be honest, I don't even care anymore about what people think of the things that I watch. And just to get some things clear, I watched the Naruto version with 220 episodes, and not Naruto Shippuden. But I hope I'm gonna get the chance to watch Shippuden sometimes soon.

My Review

(THERE WILL BE SPOILERS IF YOU HAVEN'T WATCHED IT)

Naruto is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Masashi Kishimoto. It tells the story of Naruto Uzumaki, an adolescent ninja who constantly searches for recognition and dreams to become the Hokage, the ninja in his village who is acknowledged as the leader and the strongest of all.(This is from wikipedia and it is just so that you could get an image of it if you haven't watched it.) So now for my thoughts on the whole anime... Throughout the whole 220 episodes, if I'm being honest, my favourite character has been Naruto and my least favourite Sasuke. Maybe some people would hate me for saying this but that's just how I feel. It's like no one ever acknowledges Naruto for everything he does, while Sasuke as the last one from the Uchihas is the strongest, smartest, the best one for everything in their eyes. For example the third Chunin Exam when they had to fight against each other. When Naruto beat Neji, everyone was a little excited and surprised, but when Sasuke did nothing to Gaara, everyone was cheering for him like he actually did something big. I also really got mad when Kakashi left Naruto and went to train Sasuke, like Naruto is speacial too. He has a lot of chakra in himself that he needs to learn to control. But Pervy Sage came in and actually trained and treated Naruto well. I didn't really like how mostly everyone didn't like Naruto very much and treated him badly, but that is what the whole anime is about - Naruto trying to earn everyone's respect, so I guess it is ok and hopefully they will treat him the way he should be treated. Now about Sasuke and his situation. So his whole aim of his life was the revenge that he has planned since he was a child after their parents' death. He wanted to beat and kill Itachi. I get it, he lost his whole family because of him. Understandable. But then, he literally goes to Orochimaru for more power??!?!?!? Like he should train so hard and beat him with his own power. Killing him with using Orochimaru's powers is literally so pathetic in my opinion and useless. And everyone risked their lives to save him to not go there but for that stupid revenge and thirst for power, he should've lost each one of his friends and be their enemy. I don't even know why Sakura and Naruto keep searching for him when he's obviously not coming back. But even though I hate him, I do kind of miss him a little but his good old self and when he was fighting with Naruto but still really loved him. I loved the days when they were training as squad 7 with Kakashi and going on missions, they were so young and didn't know what they were doing which was very fun to watch for me. For example the mission with Zabuza. But obviously I also really like when they became strong and all, but I kind of liked it more when they were young and immature.

About the characters

These are my favourite and least favourite characters and why I love them or hate them.

Naruto is the main character and to be honest, my favourite also. I'm very weird and immature just like him so I guess I kind of 'understand' what he's always going through. I don't really know what else to say about him than I love him sooooo much. In the beginning, I didn't really like Sakura because of all of the Sasuke drama and how she was always running after him even though he didn't like her and she didn't pay even a little attention to Naruto. But later on, after Sasuke went to Orochimaru, she kind of became different and she became a medical ninja, so she did become one of my favourite characters. As I said, Sasuke is one of the characters that I hate. I cannot understand his behaviour and I just don't like him at all. But maybe I just missed him a little bit at the end 'cause we didn't see him at all. It's like he vanished, and to be honest I wouldn't want to watch him being the bad guy, but I'd really like if he came back and continued training in the village like everyone else. Hinata is one of my favourite characters. I like her sooo much. She's shy just like me and I can really understand her. I just wish she had more recognition for what she does. Gaara is just like my everything. I love him sooooooooo much. From the moment I saw him, I knew he was my favourite character. I don't really know why but I just like him a lot. From the teachers, my favourite one is Pervy Sage aka Jiraya. I feel like he brings humor and fun into this anime. Even when he's doing his 'research' and not helping Naruto train. He's just the best. I really liked how Grandma Tsunade saw her brother in Naruto. I feel like only because of Naruto, she agreed to be the fifth hokage. Overall, I really like her. Orochimaru is also one of the characters that I hate in this anime. He's so cruel and doesn't care for anyone but himself. I get mad only by looking at his face so I won't write about him anymore. Kakashi used to be one of my favourite characters,he was all strong and smart, but I don't really like when teachers have only one favourite student and when they focus everything on him. After he decided to help Sasuke I started disliking him. I don't hate him, but I don't love him either.

Those are a couple of the characters that I'm going to write about today.

Who is your favourite character?

And because I'm new to this whole anime thing, it would be really nice if you left your favourite anime or a recommendation in the comments. :)
