What’s up, guys! It’s Tavon here, and I’m back with another blog. This is all about 2K20’s MyCareer. Before I go any further, I just want to say that this will be my last blog for now. I’m going to do another one, but it won’t be about NBA 2K. It’ll be about something else. Something that y’all will find relatable. I just wanted to put that out there. I’m going to talk about MyCareer, because, we all know that’s the main mode, that’s the bread and butter, that’s what makes people buy the game every year. And to make sure this blog is well received, I’m not simply just talking about MyCareer in general. I’m warning 2K for what could be their downfall if they do not listen carefully, so, here’s the thing. 2K cannot afford to mess up MyCareer on purpose, cause, if they do… y’know what, let’s go back for a little bit. We all remember 2K18 when the Shaq Legend Cover Athlete Announcement trailer came out. It was funny as hell. But after months of overanticipation and hype, the game was a bum dick. The reason for this: MyCareer. We’re gonna go back a little bit more. Oh, and this will be a comparison, in which I’ll compare 2K18 to other 2Ks. So, in 2K17, in MyCareer, before 2K decided to be really fucking greedy, you had Rookie Difficulty, and if you wanted to play Rookie Difficulty, you could do that. In 2K18, they really done this mode to hell. Not only did they not put in Rookie Difficulty, but they made Pro Difficulty feel like fucking Hall of Fame Difficulty. It didn’t make no damn sense. Of all the bad things to happen in 2K18, why did it have to be in MyCareer? 2K decided to be so damn greedy for VC that they were risking to lose their entire fanbase by making MyCareer shitty as hell. They made such a stupid ass product out of MyCareer, in which none of us could enjoy the story, because, the entire mode but the story, it’s stupid. They removed it on purpose, thus allowing people to just go ahead and buy VC. I’m not saying that people buying VC in the game is what made MyCareer bad, because there’s a ton of people who would just buy it anyway. It’s the fact that 2K removed certain features in MyCareer on purpose so that people are forced to buy VC is what made MyCareer bad. And despite all the improvements the game had, MyCareer really turned people off and is the exact reason why 2K18 was a shitshow. Now with 2K20 coming up, we can all agree that 2K19’s MyCareer was great. Now, they didn’t bring back Rookie Difficulty. But they tuned Pro Difficulty so that it feels like Rookie Difficulty, which was great because I got to enjoy the story and explore the Neighborhood. It’s the best MyCareer since 2K17 and it’s going well at the moment. But now it’s time for 2K20. 2K cannot afford to mess up MyCareer on purpose, cause, if they do, the fanbase will be so mad, they’ll once again bash on 2K for making a stupid ass MyCareer that makes no damn sense at all. The other improvements wouldn’t matter, because everyone’s so focused on MyCareer for most of the year, that they’re not gonna play it once they realized how much of a piss poor mode MyCareer is. And that’s not the worse part. If 2K20’s MyCareer becomes bad, it puts us right back to 2K18 trash tier status. MyCareer is trash. The other modes are good. And despite some improvements, we’re still gonna be mad that MyCareer is unplayable. Now, if you think back to my 10 features that have to be in the game blog, one of the features I wanted to be in 2K20 was the 2K Beats In Game Volume Slider to be back. In 2K18, after I was pissed that MyCareer had no Rookie Difficulty and had Hall of Fame-like Pro Difficulty, I just couldn’t understand why 2K18 was just so damn dry. Now, of course, it was before I found a way to get star players to sign minimum contracts and bring back teams’ original branding, but everything else was so great, I would have used those hacks I found out now and played a full season of MyLeague and enjoy all the other modes if I wanted to. I said before that playing the game without the soundtrack was okay, but the fact that the game without the soundtrack in game slider is so gray, depressing, boring, and dry that I don’t feel the energy of being hyped up when I play. It just doesn’t matter what I play, I couldn’t been able to play the soundtrack, which is why I could never play that fucking garbage more often because 2K removed a feature on purpose to make us more mad, which that tops it all off. It’s no wonder people thought the game was boring and ass because 2K wasted a soundtrack that we can’t even fucking play during a game, and it screams cash grab. And that’s just the beginning, because with 2K20 now being like 2K18, it puts us to the climax. If 2K20’s MyCareer is like this, and if 2K21 comes out with MyCareer like 2K20, in which if there’s no new features, we have all the features from 2K20, everybody’s done with it. Everybody including me’s done with it. We’re done with 2K. We’re not playing and buying anymore because it’s bullcrap. It’s fucking bull shitty ass crap. They made MyCareer once again worse and you still can’t listen to the soundtrack while playing games. It’s been back-to-back years of 2K being stupid as crap and releasing shitty games with no fucking effort to bring back simple features because they’re cash grab assholes. And with all of that being said, fans would just be done because they already dealt with back-to-back bad titles; a threepeat of them would just bring them to miseryville. And so, I hope 2K doesn’t go this route. I felt like we were awfully close to getting there in 2K19, and luckily, that didn’t happen. If 2K just improve upon the game every year, year after year, they’ll make a ton of money, and everyone will be happy. It wouldn’t be good for 2K to do the wrong thing, because like I said, a third straight bad game would just justify the cashgrabbing of 2K. But, hopefully, 2K doesn’t go there and actually does their best to be the best basketball video game series ever.

That's All, Guys!
