One Piece of Dung

Luffy and his gang of idiots are no pirates; pirates are bloodthirsty murderers, villains who kill the innocent for fun and rape their women and plunder vast hoards of treasure. These idiots are a bunch of Mary Sue manchildren and feeble wenches playing at being pirates; pirates are excellent, but these guys are pathetic and lame. There is also no character progression; the characters have no arcs, and they go in a full circle, which is a clear sign of bad writing.

Suppose the show was just about real pirates and portrayed actual graphic violence and murder like a badass anime from the '80s and '90s, then maybe it would be good. Instead, it's just an ugly cartoon with a sad cast of moronic-looking villains and heroes; every villain is just some lame monster of the week with a stupid gimmick and a lame costume. And the heroes all have to have a tragic backstory or some other BS that gets old quickly.

This anime doesn't have anything special in store, and rewatching it proved that to be the case. Shallow characters, utterly useless fights, one-dimensional, lame story, very predictable, and blah blah blah. What more can I say? Everyone knows from the start that Luffy is going to be the pirate king, and almost all of his crew will survive, and there are no real stakes because it's just boring when we know all the main characters will be fine. I don't understand how people can make such a big deal out of this show. Overall, I'll say I'm not disappointed because I predicted it to be bad and it turned out to be even worse. Complete waste of time, and I am glad that I dropped it.

And then, about 80 episodes in, they start to cater to furries by having a pathetic reindeer join their crew. After that, there were more and more disgusting furry characters, and the last season went full retard and had a whole village entire of gross furries. And this series has more boring exposition and talking than Dragon Ball. Please get to the fights already, you sad sacks; it's boring and unoriginal.

I love some anime like Berserk, Fist of the North Star, Monster, Vinland Saga, and Jojo's Bizarre Adventure; however, this show is just boring. I gave it a shot, rewatched some of it, although there is just nothing enjoyable about this show. The characters are not likable at all, the mythos of the show makes absolutely no sense, and it has by far the worst action scenes ever in an anime; a 45-second still shot of a fist and the sound of grunting is not enjoyable to watch.

If most anime were more like Fist of the North Star, and not Dragon Ball (FAIL) and Dragon Ball (FAIL) Z, and had fewer furlosers, annoying crybaby characters, stupid talking during fights, more graphic violence, and manly competent protagonists, almost all anime would be much better, and not trash like one Piece and other similar baby anime.
